Anybody else waiting for an interview date at Ankara embassy?

I saw one on the timelines. Case completed at the NVC on 12/25/12 and interview date is 3/21/13. So to me it looks like there is a 3 mo wait for an interview date at Ankara :( This sucks more because our file is missing right now. Both USCIS and NVC says they don't have it. I was hoping my husband would have a June interview but I don't think so.

USCIS - 66 days ROC - 139 days from sent to approved
12/3/2012 - I-130 delivered to Chicago 5/20/15: mailed I-751 package to California office
12/4/2012 - NOA1 NBC (Missouri Service Center MSC) 5/22/15: Date on NOA1
12/6/2012 - Check cashed 8/26/15: Bio appointment

12/8/2012 - Received paper NOA1 10/06/15: Received Email card was being processed
12/20/2012 - Case number showed up on USCIS website
1/29/2013 - Called USCIS and case is still at NBC
2/8/2013 - Received an Email that we were approved on 2/7/13
3/5/2013 - Told file may have been "misplaced" to email NOA2 to NCVresearch
3/7/2013 - ISO at the USCIS opened a service request to try to track down
if and when the file was shipped. Should hear something before 3/26 ( so she said)

NVC - 119 days NVC to Visa in hand
03/11/2013: NVC received (31 days from NOA2 at USCIS till received at NVC )
03/25/2013: NVC Case no. assigned
03/27/2013: Paid AOS fee (shows paid 3/29/13)
04/01/2013: AOS Sent
03/27/2013: Received IV Bill
03/27/2013: Paid IV Bill (shows paid 3/29/13)
04/01/2013: Sent IV Packet
04/02/2013:IV Packet Delivered
04/16/2013: Case Complete (37 days from received to case complete)
04/16/2013: Received Case Complete Email

05/13/2013: NVC status "In Transit"

051/20/2013: NVC status "Ready"
06/24/2013: Interview date - Orange card... wanted copy of USC passport

07/08/2013: Visa received in the mail

I am sorry to hear that they lost your case. Sometimes the operator in NVC cant see files maybe they have it but havent put in the system. I hope they will locate it soon. I looked at Ankara interview schedule (they updated march 6) there are nobody from 2013 yet. So Ankara still working on 2012 NVC copleted cases.

Did anyone else notice that they almost skipped a whole month in the newly posted interview schedule? It goes from the April 25 to May 22. Will this fill in later? God I hope so.

Lastottoman,

Were you able to finally get an interview? I'm in the same boat as you...trying to get an interview in Ankara. Do you know if it's possible to switch your files over to the Istanbul embassy? What else can be done?

unfortunately we weren't able to have our file transferred to Ankara, they told us that the US embassy in Ankara is too busy and won't be able to accept new files from other embassies!! so we have our interview appointment on August 29th in Abu Dhabi. wish you the best of luck . a piece of advice: Don't change embassies if it's in Ankara or Abu dhabi because these two embassies are too busy but if you want to transfer your file from these two embassies to any other country I think it'll be easier.

hello,

you are not supposed to call the embassy to get an appointment. they will send you an Email and inform you about your date of interview. so don't call them and just wait for them to conatct you. I have heard that the US embassy in Ankara is very busy! wish you the best of luck.

It took me 2 weeks on the Csc web site to get an appointment in Ankara. I got it august 14 and our appointment is November 7. They are very busy since Ankara is the embassy for turkey and Iran.

Are you in turkey? You might try paying for the visa through AK bank and the. Trying to call the embassy
