Where to get a banker's draft/cashier's check made into foreign currency?

I'm having difficulties finding the answer to this. My husband lived in the UK for a year and therefore needs to obtain police certificates. The application requires that the payment be made in GBP in the form of a banker's draft or british check.

A banker's draft would be our only option but I'm having trouble finding a place that can create one for me. I have called several different banks in my city and all of them have said they cannot do this.

Does anyone know of a place or particular bank branch that may be able to issue a banker's draft in foreign currency?

I think Citizens Bank does them. Bank of America did one for me in SC.

Awesome! Thanks! I haven't tried these two yet. I called my credit union, PNC, and Citizen's and they all said no.

Try asking the banks about a "foreign draft." I know it sounds the same as banker's draft, but that's technically what you need. Here in NJ, I know TD Bank and Chase can do them. Also try to find out if they'll accept a money order. If so you can get an international money order from any post office and they are much cheaper than a foreign draft which usually has a fee of $25-$50.

Id be more than happy to help out if i can, i'm in the UK and come over to see my wife regular, will be over in VA this coming Saturday for a couple of weeks. Im sure the cheque wouldn't need to be be from the person the certificate is for, it can be from anyone.i can mail you a cheque from my account in exchange for $$ or however i can help.
