They might tell you to wait 90 days or whatever the time frame is....But knowing myself, I would call nonetheless.

But I'm thinking it'll be on Nov. 15th for me...

Got my letter today! Seems asking for Davenport made no difference so mine is in Des Moines on 09/25/13 (a Wednesday) at 9:00am. Honestly, knowing I missed the August date I REALLY don't care about the 3 hour drive now!! I really didn't want to wait another 2 months.

My oath is on 9/20/13 and am wondering what to do with the kids (6 months and nearly 3years old)

One half of me wants to bring them as it's a big day for me and I want my family to be there but then the other half is like arrrrgh what if the 6 month old gets grouchy etc etc, my parents in law will be there too to help.

I know what you mean. Congrats by the way. I have a 2 year old who is very hyper and a 1 year old who likes to run around. I left them with a family member and it all worked out well. I did have a phone on vibrate in case of emergencies and I called before and after three times just to make sure everything was ok. I don't know how far you have to drive, but it's a good idea to have someone there to take care of the children in case they get bored or upsetcrying.gif Hope you have a great ceremonybiggrin.png

Yup I got mine on Friday or Saturday but we were away for the weekend so we were pleasantly surprised last night when we checked the mail box.

My ceremony is also 9/25/13 @ 9 am in Des Moines I'm Super excited, but not looking forward to long drive.

Can someone please update my oath date?? I'm on my phone. My home internet is acting up.can't use laptop.

Thanks for updating, and same here! What is your next step after the oath? Passport then social security office, then DOT? In what order? I'm tackling the passport next.

Finally Congratulations Vanessa & Azure! And good luck to those who got interviews & congratulations to the new US Citizens. My ceremony will be this coming Tuesday really early and like some of you I will bring my two toodlers a 3yr.old and a 2yr. Old (which in the stage of temper tantrum) so hopefully everything will turn out ok and no crying by I doubt it. Have a good day guys.

Thanks for updating, and same here! What is your next step after the oath? Passport then social security office, then DOT? In what order? I'm tackling the passport next.

Well, I've read you need to send your Naturalisation certificate off with the passport so maybe I'll do the SSA first to get that out of the way (they don't keep it) and then I'll do the passport office (well, I'm just going to the Rock Island County courthouse actually :D). I'm going to get the passport and passport card. Never know when that card'll come in handy (and I don't have a problem carrying it with me... unlike the passports or GC which are $$ to replace!)

I asked the ladies at the clerks office about the fees and the passport fee ($140 for card and passport) needs to be paid by check (cheque) because it's mailed with the application, but the $25 "execution fee" is paid directly to the court house and they'll take credit card or whatever.

Honestly with the costs of driving to Des Moines and my husbands birthday being a couple of days later, I might wait on the passport a week or two (gives me time to scan the certificate and then copy it to frame it as well :D)

Received an email that my oath schedule has been mailed. Hallelujah! How about my n400 twin Nimaan? Any news?

I-130 for Parents (Mom and Dad)

3.15.2014: Mailed I-130 Packet for Mom and Dad

3.21.2014: Received email notification with case # for both petitions; case forwarded to NBC for processing

3.21.2014: Check cashed

3.22.2014: Hard copy NOA1 received

4.08.2014: Both I-130 approved (notification received via email) - It only took three weeks!!!

4.11.2014: Received NOA2 approval notice in the mail.

5.01.2014: Called NVC to ask for status of paperwork. Advised they received both application on 4.28. Advised to call in 30 business days for an update.

6.02.2014: Email notification received from NVC that shows parents' NVC case number and instructions to pay AOS Fee and fill out DS 261.

6.03.2014: Paid AOS fee ($88 for both petitions)
