confused on dis approval

Hi everyone, plz I just received dis on my case status and I'm scared what it means..has anyone ever seen this before

On January 25, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we certified our approval of this case and sent it to the appropriate appellate body for review. They will notify you directly when they make a final decision. If you move while this case is pending, follow the instructions provided in the notice and use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

I wonder is this the new way to say you are approved or do they do what they do and send back to VSC and CSC?

I got the same response! The first time i checked it was in the decision part it said your case has been approved, then the next day it went back to the initial review! I got my NOA2 and it says that my case has been transferred to the NVC, NEW HAMPSHIRE.

Nope, approvals from NBC aren't worded like that at all. Here's my email:

"On January 25, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations."

Maybe it's some kind of extra processing? I have no idea, I'm sorry

I agree with Darnell. Sounds like you've gone into some sort of administrative review of your case, most likely caused by an error of some sort. My guess is that it'll go back to its orginal stage of review and will just be delayed a few weeks then be on its way to a proper NOA2. "appellate body" simply means a board of review to reverse decisions, which is what makes me think it was an error on someone's part.

I think the government finds it funny sometimes to word documents in such a manner that even natives have to pull up Google every once in a while. In total, though, I wouldn't worry. Maybe put in a phone call and they should be more than happy to make their point clear to you.

Yeah exact same thing, mine was approved on the 14th though! So hang in there your NOA2 should be on the way and I'm still going to call them on monday just to make sure!

Don't worry about this message. I got same message on november 30, 2012. After a week we got our approved NOA 2 in mail. By the way , when I check status at USCIS web site is still remains the same-INITIAL REVIEW
