AOS...a bit confused about a couple things:

Hello! I'm currently working on my AOS and even after reading a lot of topics and instructions I'm still confused about a couple things.

1. Form I-693. As a k-1 visa holder I recently had my medical visit (with vaccination checked and all) overseas, and I still have that medical form they filled in that day (DS-3025), which states "Vaccine history complete for each vaccine, all requirements met (documented above)". Am I required to see a civil surgeon or not??? This is still unclear to me

2. Advance parole. Part 7, it says to explain on a separate sheet "how you qualify for an Advance Parole and what circumstance warrant issuance of an advance parole. Include copies of any documents you wish considered". Uhm...ok, what does that mean? What should I write on that sheet? And which documents I have to include?

I am sorry I cannot be of much help (actually thanks for posting, I'm looking forward to seeing the answers to this thread), but now I'm a bit confused/worried. Were you given your completed DS-3025 on the day of your medical? I wasn't. Maybe it's supposed to be in the 'do not open' envelope and they will give it to me at POE?

Actually, I've just found it. It was in the envelope of the Istituto Varelli with the RX CD (I hadn't opened it yet, but I guess I could since there wasn't any 'do not open' sign on it.... Am I right?). Ahhhh, sorry, I'm just an overworrier...

1. No to civil surgeon. Add a photocopy of the DS-3025 to your AOS application. The original one will be in with your medical files turned in at POE, but a photocopy kinda reminds the person opening the mail that you are already complete and won't be including an I-693.

2. A K1 doesn't have to prove any circumstance that would warrant Advance Parole. You don't have to do the extra sheet or documents proving you are in need of it. It's pretty much an automatic approval thing.

To the other poster: you are allowed to open the x-ray envelope. Many panel physicians hand back the vaccination photocopy on the day of the medical and the x-ray is handed over at the embassy. Yours just happened to be put together in an envelope. Either way is fine and those are yours for your records.

Yes it's the one in that envelope with the cd! And I tend to over-worry too on this stuff ahhaha (ps. I tried to send you a private message but for some reason I couldnt! I was curious to know where you're from since I'm Italian as well and where you are in California since I'm there too ahahah).
