It appears that 40% of cases at Mumbai are going through administrative processing. I was keying in all the case numbers to check the status.

I'm little scared I have my interview next week

What category of visas are going to AP?

I am having sleepless nights too!!! So nervous!

All the very best for your interview and do let us know in detail what happens at the consulate.

They only asked my fiance 4 questions and then wanted some other paperwork... so dont get nervous it will be okay as long as your have nothing to hide and youre honest everything will go good... good luck guys =)

Hey Guys,

it seems that it's a habit of the ppl at the Mumbai Consulate to put cases on Admin Processing. My husband had his interview on March 22, 2013 and STILL no news. I've tried contacting the Congressman, Senators --everything I could think of. I went to India earlier this month to visit my hubby, and I called the Embassy as well in hopes to schedule an appt with someone there. But no luck. They blatantly refused.

Anyone have any suggestions? I'm really frustrated with this process now. My husband's case has been pending for 1 year and 7 months now!

Appreciate any info anyone can provide...

Thanks :)

Your husband should have asked why it's under Admin Processing at time of interview. Did anything being missing or documents that they asked you to submit??

Yes he did ask but they flat out refused to give any details as to why the case is being held.

He did ask after the interview, but the Consular did not give any information. We have tried calling the Embassy numerous times, but they give us the same answer: the case is still under Administrative Processing, and once it is completed you will be contacted.

They did not say if any documents are missing or needed. We had a couple things to submit at the time of the interview, which my husband gave them. I have asked them again many times if they need anything further then they should tell me and I can send it immediately. But again, they don't say anything. It's really frustrating...

Seems like they want to investigate in details.
