On December 7 I received an email from USCIS stating: "your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)". I file the documents for my fiancee on June 2, 2012 and accordingly immigration is working on May 28, 2012 per USCIS.

Does anyone know what this statement means. I apprecite anyone's help.

I got the same message on December 5th.

I've talked to a couple other people who got this message too.

I've seen 3 people who got this message and then got their NOA2 2 days later, after receiving this message.

I haven't gotten my NOA2 yet... still waiting....

But from what I see from other people, we should be receiving our NOA2 any day now............ I CAN'T WAIT!

Yes it's a good thing. It means you have an alien registration number. Next you'll get the approval.

Yes, I got the same message. I also saw a couple other people here get the same message.

I still haven't gotten an approval, but other people who had this message got their approval in 2-3 days after receiving this message.

I called USCIS again to find out why I got this message. Every time I call them, they tell me something different. The people answering phone calls DON'T KNOW ANYTHING. They are useless.

This time I called and asked what's going on. They told me that MY alien registration number has been changed... I used to have a green card years ago, and now I'm a naturalized citizen. So somehow this has to do with MY alien registration number.

In the end, I still have no idea what the hell is going on, and I can only hope that I'll get my approval this week. Just like others did.

I got the same message today. But it says that my alien registration number was changed on OCTOBER 15th.

Our NOA1 date is Oct.5

I wonder what all this is about

so confused?? based on our timeline we should not get the NOA2 until April? can it actually happen this fast? that would be a christmas miracle indeed!

OMG I know, I'm so confused...I really don't want to get my hopes up in case there is something wrong with their system

I guess we'll have to wait since calling them (most likely) won't do any good

I guess it's very unlikely that our applications are being processed THIS fast...but you never know...let's hope for a miracle!

Pretty sure it's either an error or just a normal step in the process that doesn't necessarily mean your petition is or isn't close to being approved.

My 129f was rec'd 30 Nov and I got the same message 6 Dec.
