I finally sent out my AOS package after months of gathering documents and palpitations. I didn't see a similar thread to this one, so I decided to create one as a little corner for all of us in the same boat.

My package was sent on 11/13 vis USPS so it should arrive by tomorrow.

Let's use this thread as a space for encouragement and updates.

AOS from B2 visa
11/13/12, Day 000-Mailed AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765) to Chicago lockbox.
11/17/12, Day 004-Package delivered to Chicago lockbox.
11/21/12, Day 008-Text & email received for all 3 forms.
11/23/12, Day 010-I-130 & I-485 checks cashed.
11/26/12, Day 013-NOAs received for I-130, I-485, I-765.
12/05/12, Day 022-Biometrics appointment (12/20) NOA received.
12/06/12, Day 023-Successful Walk-in biometrics @ Brooklyn ASC.
12/18/12, Day 035-Online case status available (I130-initial review; I1765-initial review; I485-testing and interview)
01/22/13, Day 070-Notice of EAD approval via text & email.

Hi All,

Some may remember me from the Canadian board. I'm doing all the paperwork for my daughter and her hubby.

She POE'd Oct 22 and they married Oct 26. While they were on their honeymoon, I gathered up all the information and had the paperwork ready for them to sign when they returned.

She mailed out the paperwork for AOS, EAD and AP on November 13, as well. Sent USPS Priority Mail

She received a NOA1 email today...... whoohoo!

Hoping the holidays don't slow things down too much! Will be going for a visit to see her this weekend. Very thankful that we live close enough to visit often :yes:

Yay! Glad to see more Nov filers. It was getting lonely in here.

Anyway, as my updated signature shows, my package was delivered on Nov 17th. For some reason, there was no update on USPS for a few days, so I was getting worried. Now the waiting begins.

Nov ASO here too ! i just received my text/emails today !!

Day 11/14 Mailed AOS Package

Day 11/16 AOS Package Accepted

Day 11/20 Received Text with receipt numbers

Day 11/21 Checks cashed

Day 11/26 -Letter for Biometrix - its on 12/20

Day 12/20/ went to do biometrics, turn away as wife has a cut on thumb - will try to walk in next week

Day 12/28 - bio metrics done ! - walked in San Diego as we were visiting my in laws.

Day 1/4/2013 - received text/email that case is ready to be scheduled for interview !

Day 1/15/2013 - received hard copy letter to let us know interview is on 2/12 !

Day 1/17/2013 - received text/email that EAD has been approved

Day 1/26/2013 - received EAD card

Day 2/12 - interview done - approved on spot!

LOL, thanks! I'm a very "detailed" person and my daughter is not so much! It's just easier if I do all the legwork, since we know USCIS paperwork requires the details to be followed to a "T". There's no way I wanted them paying a lawyer, when that money would be better spent on the downpayment of a house :thumbs:

Yep, it was an email NOA1, still waiting for the hard copy.

Realized that I initially posted this in the wrong area. My daughter isn't AOSing from a work, student or tourist visa.

She came in on a K-1 fiance visa, so I'll continue posting updates but up above on the other board for AOS for family petitions :yes:

Hope everyone here gets their petitions all approved quickly and without any RFE's :blink:

Hi All

I have applied for my 140 and 485 concurrently as I fall under rest of the world category using my Spouse’s country of birth (Kuwait). Is there anyone who filed in the same way as I did?

Am i replying on the right topic and category of this forum?

Oct 2009- got Married

June 2010- POE Newark H1B

July 2012 Perm applied

Sep 2012 Perm approved

Oct 2012 Medical evaluation with Civil Surgeon. TB skin test & Blood test cleared.

Nov – 6 2012 My attorney submitted I 140 & I 485 for me and 485 for my wife

Hi All

I have to Change my address as i got a project in a differnt city by January 2013.

Can anyone tell me if i can change my address at this stage when my AOS is applied and i have my Biometric appointment in Dec.

I found this link on the USCIS website that tells you what steps to take: change of address. You most likely fall in the second category/box. Hope this helps!!!
