I'm starting to get the feeling that we are a lot!

I expected to be able to check my status online after a couple of weeks but it's almost a month now and I'm getting worried.

Has anybody here tried calling USCIS?

Did you learn anything more than what you already knew (I130 received, NOA1 sent, now wait)?

Thank you!

I called USCIS about not being able to check my status online after five weeks and they gave me an e-mail address to direct my inquiry to. NCSC-costomerconnect@uscis.dhs.gov Include petitioner, applicant, receipt number and nature of inquiry. I sent mine a week ago and no response yet. Hope this helps.

I received my NOA1 with an MSC case number yesterday.

Obviously I know my efforts in tracking the status at this time are useless (though I do it anyways :P )

But i'm gathering that even 3 weeks from now it will say nothing? Is that what everyone is basically saying?

I won't fill out your poll until at least next friday because it wouldn't be fair.

Unfortunately, yes.

I was wondering how many us couldn't access online status even after several weeks, and we've already seen many cases on this poll.

The online status looks fancy, but it is useless. It sits there doing nothing until it gets approved. They send you the approval notice in the mail. I know its opacity is unnerving, but everything is fine.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package

This was my next question.

If it WAS working for all of the MSC numbers, exactly what would you see? lol

I'm imagining a lot of people disappointed that they can't see a status of 'still processing, numb-nuts' every day

Considering what I read on this board before we sent in all our stuff, that's pretty much what happened. Lol

I think with my other petition it just said "initial review" until one day that it didn't say that - the day it was approved.

It did just sit and do nothing for almost 6 months though.

News seen on another post of the forum:

"USCIS will perform routine maintenance to conduct updates for the Electronic Immigration System (USCIS ELIS) on Nov. 17, from 5 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and on Nov. 18, from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. (EST)."

Maybe it will solve the problem of checking statuses online?...

I a well aware that we probably wouldn't learn anything crucial anyway, but I would still feel better if I could check online and see even minor changes (at least I would know it's moving! :-)
