Hey I just got in the post my Boimetrics appointment letter dated Nov 27. My appointment is Dec 24 and of course i don't want to wait more than 3 weeks from now to do that so I am thinking about walk in there next week some day. I still don't know if they will allow me to... if there is someone with the same experience from New Orleans please share :)

I am also a Nov filer in NOLA and received my biometrics appt letter on Friday. From all that I've read, the Metairie office does not regularly allow walk-ins, and I absolutely HATE Metairie so I don't want to waste a journey there when I could just wait 2 weeks. But if you go, let me know what they say! Good luck everyone!

So guys just want to let you know I received ead card in the mail on Saturday at noon. Hubby got the mail and there it was priority mail from USCIS. Yay!

Hey Everyone!

I just joined VJ and hoping for a Speedy Process for my AOS/EAD/AP to GC along with y'all! :)

My hubby and I just got the NOA's saying USCIS received our complete packet.

From what I've read here and from the NOA - we should now wait for the letter letting us know when/where my biometrics will be processed.

I was also happy to see that they received our packet on the November 26, cashed the checks on November 28, and sent out the NOA's on November 28.

Has anyone else received their biometrics letter yet? When should I expect it?

Hey everyone got some good news today. I got all my receipts in the mail today along with my biometrics appointmernt letter which is for Dec/20/12. Excited for that, moving along good so far.

Nov/23/12: at 9:27 A.M.Package signed and recieved

Nov/29/12: Check cashed

Dec/03/12: Recieved Receipts and Biometrics appointment

Dec/20/12: Biometrics appointment

Jan/2/13. : received email an text. Ready for Testing and interview

Jan/23/13: text and email that EAD and AP approved!!!! Yes!!!!!!!

Day 70: Jan/29/13: Card/Document Production

Day 73: Feb/01/13: Recieved EAD card.

Day 101: recieved text/email that AOS interview is April 2nd.

Day--- : AOS approved for green card. Got stamp in passport.

I talked this morning with my lawyer and she just told me to forget about walk-in in New Orleans. She has a lot of people with bad experience and wasted time and money trying to do the Boimetrics earlier. Its 3 hours driving from where I am and I am not sure it is worth it to go. Still some of my friends are excited just to visit there and if we go I will let you know.

There is a little trick that you can use probably ... just tell them that you have plans for the Christmas holidays and show them some proof for that. Its Christmas!!! I hope they will be more cooperative at this time of the year :) or they will be too busy and will just tell you to come at your appointment date!

Wow, very cool. How quick did you get confirmation? I know it arrived on the 21st because I sent with signature confirmation and it was signed for..

Hey there! Im a little curious... what does your lawyer mean by the 'real' one? lol In your first letter, which forms did it state? I ask b/c I received 2 letters also, the first was only for I485 & I765. It wasnt until I completed the walk in appointment did the 2nd one come in the mail for Advance parole. But while I was at the ASC they went ahead an issued me another letter ahead of time for the advance parole and did all 3 at 1 time

Ugh... I didn't even think to look at this part... the letters I got were for I485 and I765. Does that mean we have to do biometrics 2 times, if the AP biometrics letter doesn't arrive before the biometrics are done for these 2? It's not a huge deal in the scheme of all the immigration hassle, but biometrics for us means a day off school for the kids and a 45 minute drive to the USCIS office. Fingers crossed for 1 biometrics trip...
