How common is this? I received information from the national visa processing center through mail with my case number. I've received 2 emails from Naples, one saying they've received the information and the second after we sent in the DS230 part 1 saying to call back in 5 business days. Well that was last tuesday, so this being after 5 days we made the call.

First: They can't find her by name.

I then gave them the case number (NPL something) and they can't find that either.

The lady put me on hold for some time after getting some information (her name, DOB, and a contact phone + email, then said that she wrote the embassy and someone will contact me with information when they get it or tell me why/what happened.

I know this is Naples, but I am curious how often this happens where they just can't find your information? Should I be worried? - Can I call the national visa center or USCIS here and see what they can do, resent or whatever?

Thank you, we were floored by this... My fiance called first and said they were rude and couldn't find anything. Then I called twice and first got the same tone (maybe the same lady) the second was a little better. I'm a little upset if you can't tell, and at 15 euros a call you think they would be a little warmer, or at find out why they send me emails saying they have my stuff but it isn't in their system...

Thank you

We pressed the "non-immigrant" phone option, since it is a non-immigrant visa. I know that the consulate for some reason has the packet and stuff on the immigrant side. I don't think that mattered though, as they asked if it was k1 or k2, so it sounds like they had access...

Not sure what's happening to your particular case, but if I were you I would seek info directly from the Consulate. In my experience, the consulate in Naples replies to emails in a satisfying manner within a few days (use IVNaples@state.gov), while the call center (SERVIZIO DI PRENOTAZIONE ED INFORMAZIONE SUI VISTI) is expensive and generally not very helpful.

Good luck!
