please don't lyao - if it hits the floor, we can take it and cook it ;)

i think the updates CAN occur overnight and the weekend, as the updating process for this type of status is solely a batch system - nothing in real time.

feh - that was a wasted phone call. Sure, USCIS is open for phone calls today, but the ISOs don't work on Saturdays.

Yay!

I was checking numbers close to mine and 2 up and 3 down are approved I-130 petitions. Maybe I'll have some luck soon! :)

edited for spelling... apparently I should eat sometime during the day before trying to spell or post on forums. LOL

I ran my numbers again to get a representative sampling of mid-October cases. I checked the status of 1051 total cases filed with numbers MSC1390091300-MSC1390092150.

  • 438 of these records were I-130s.
  • 37 of these records had a problem (not properly filed, returned as undeliverable, denied, or RFE).
  • 102 of these records were approved, 299 not yet approved.

So approximately 1/4 of the I-130s submitted on or around October 18 have been approved so far.

  • 5 were approved in November (one outlier on November 19 and the rest the last few days of November).
  • 73 were approved in December.
  • 24 were approved in January so far (14 of these approved just last week).

Mine hasn't been approved yet.

LATEST STEPS:

29 Apr 2014: POE Dublin through Heathrow

15 May 2014: Received formal residency/work permission (GNIB card with Stamp 4, one year renewable) for the ROI

Yup. No sweating yet, just monitoring progress. A lot of people say "if the cases around yours have been approved, yours will be approved soon also," but that is basically a superstition. Lots of people on my list are going to be disappointed if they check that way. Many of the cases approved in early or mid-December surround cases that have not yet been approved yet. I'm just watching the graph rise from about 20 percent approval ratio (ratio of approved I-130 cases to all I-130 cases, excluding those with known issues) last Sunday to 25 percent approval rate this Sunday. It says bippy about my individual case but it's reassuring to see the number go up. :)

There are Oct 15th numbers ranging around 1000+ before me and almost 1000 after. Trust me when I realize that just because the number that is 2 above me or 5 below me is approved doesn't mean in any way, shape or form that I will be anytime soon. But if I like the idea it gives me hope, even a false sense of it, and believe there isn't much wrong with that because the only one disappointed or not is me and my significant other. I'll take every shred of hope I can get right now because until I can visit him again, I need it.

Looks like they are moving along then. I've got to check mine tonight. Did you include standalone as well as the AOS I-130s?

Nola123, they don't say on the site whether the I-130 is standalone or filed in conjunction with another form. Many seemed to be connected to another form next to them in number. Those I-130s tended to have a receipt date of October 9 rather than October 18. I included all numbers listed as I-130s in my sample. My own case is a standalone case.

For my date the AOS come in bulk, as in there is like 100+ applications that looks like I-485 I-130 EAD AP or just I-485 I-130 ad nauseam. The stand alones don't have the I-485s in between. I suppose it doesn't make too much of a difference though.
