Prepaid Phone

I sent a TracFone (prepaid phone) to my Fiancee in Nigeria, this way she has something to use to contact me when she gets to her POE and in case of a delay with transfer.

The phone itself was $9 and the extra card was $19 and I can add minutes to it over the web. I preprogrammed all my pertinent numbers on the phone.

Anyways, just a thought, might not work for all.

Another idea is to email or text a calling card. Give her the card id number as well as the pin. She doesn't have to have the physical card in her hand. That way when she arrives at the airport she can use tthe information to call you.

The beauty of this option is you don't have to mail anything and so you save shipping and you never know if the trac phone will arrive in time or ever at all.

Sent I-129 Application to VSC 2/1/12
NOA1 2/8/12
RFE 8/2/12
RFE reply 8/3/12
NOA2 8/16/12
NVC received 8/27/12
NVC left 8/29/12
Manila Embassy received 9/5/12
Visa appointment & approval 9/7/12
Arrived in US 10/5/2012
Married 11/24/2012
AOS application sent 12/19/12

AOS approved 8/24/13

My Sister is leaving for home today and will hand deliver it to my Fiancee by end of day tomorrow In Sha Allah.

I want her to call me as soon as they allow wireless devices to be turned on upon landing if possible
