i'm so upset and frustrated!!!...our case was expedited from USCIS to NVC which we thought that its gonna the same expedited at the embassy because NVC told us that they will sent our expedite request also to the embassy.. Last Aug 7 i got email from NVC that our case was forwarded to the manila us embassy and at the same time got another email saying that-----The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General has accepted this case for expedited processing. This file will be immediately forwarded to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General. Any further questions concerning processing or the interview appointment date should be directed to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General.

Please note that the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General may still request additional forms or fees at the time of your interview. Please be prepared to submit any missing forms and pay any required fees at the time of your interview.

In order to better process future inquiries, please be sure to identify yourself in each piece of correspondence sent to the NVC. If you are writing on behalf of a law office please include the law office name as well as the attorney of record's name.

Now they contact me that i can schedule our appointment, got surprised because the soonest they can put me in is on Oct 4th. so i told the lady that our case was expedited i should have an open appointment but the lady said our case is not expedited so i forward the email that i got that the embassy accepted our case for expedite but she said again that because the email is from NVC and not from them they will not honor it..any opinion for this matter? i'm really upset to NVC i feel like they're playing on this case that they have all the documents proving that my mother has a cancer and i need to get back to US so i can go back to work and make money for her treatment.

You would have to request an expedite at the embassy too..the expedite does not carry through each stage. Getting an interview date about a month after you call is the norm. It was that way a couple of years ago when we went through it all. Also, you have to remember that with the flooding in Manila in august they had to reschedule interviews for them. Check the link in my signature for our full timeline.

Manila IV handles appointments via YOU setting them on the website, when there's NOT an appointment set by NVC.

So, stay online at the Manila IV website, refreshing the page(s ) often, and find the next available appointment - these slots open up without much notice when other people cancel. When you get an appointment date, print out all you can , one of these things is the appointment letter -

then take that appointment letter in to the medical ..

Good Luck ! Use a computer, on this one..

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
