Let's hear from any August 2012 AOS Filers and support each other!!!!

We mailed our AOS packets in on 17 Aug and got email message of NOA1 yesterday 31 Aug! Now, the next phase of our immigration journey.

We are still waiting for CBP to input my wife and stepson's information into the I-94 database.

But all is well.

Have a great holiday weekend! :star:

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

A&B, We filed AOS on August 9th, and received all the NOA's for AOS, EAD, and AP on August 14th. She had her biometrics on August 28th, so that's about where we are at. No word yet on if the AOS is going to get processed in Tampa or sent to California. The Tampa USCIS office currently shows a 4 month wait for I-485, so hoping it will go there.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) through at least two of its agencies (USCIS and CBP), has invaded our lives.

Glad things are moving along. We are happy that there has now been some action for us at USCIS.

After patiently waiting for over 30 days, I wish that Customs and Burro Patrol (CBP) would kick it in gear and get my family's data into their I-94 database. On that front, we are essentially at a standstill until they do that. We applied for wife's SSN, they are waiting for CBP database verification. We applied for their WA state ID cards, they are waiting for CBP database verification. I showered the local college with some of our accumulated immigration evidence, they admitted the step-son as a 'non-resident' for fall quarter. They will give him 'resident' status starting winter quarter, as that I was able to prove to them that I was a WA state resident (some of those copies of immigration evidence came in handy) and he will be claimed by me on my 2012 Fed income tax return, or they would also be waiting for CBP database verification.

You notice the common thread? I have tried to get in touch with someone at CBP, and was told there was no one that I could talk to about this issue. I believe that is an unacceptable response to a tax-paying US citizen. I then sent a letter to one of my US Senators last week seeking assistance. We will see what and if anything happens.....

Stay tuned details for details at 10......

We filed AOS on Aug.22nd and we got hardcopy in the mail for AOS and EAD today (09/14). Scheduled for biometrics on Oct.1 at Tampa.

That is good news.

We got our 2 sets of hardcopy I-797s on 8 Sept. The biometrics are scheduled on 2 Oct. in Seattle.

The SSN debacle appears to have been settled. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/389067-finally-some-progress-she-got-her-ssn/

Good luck.

We filed in August as well, August 16th. September 13th we travelled to Fort Myers USCIS office for biometrics. Hopefully the wait will not be too long. Wishing fellow August filers a quick journey from here on it as it has been a long time.

We filed my AOS last July 30, 2012 and received NOA for AOS, EAD and AP on Aug. 3, 2012. I'm done with my biometrics last August 24 but got my RFE for my co-sponsor's birth certificate. We submitted it and they received it last September 5, 2012.

Now, all I can do is just wait.

Regards to all August filers!
