My medical was at Hope Medical center in Mobay. I got there at 12PM for a 12:30 appointment. Apparently i found out that they just schedule a bunch of peeps for the same time cause i met some other peeps there who said there have 12 30 appointments too. First thing i did was check in and they took my appointment letter to confirm and ask for my passport photos and immunization card if i had. after they prepare a file for me, my name was called, and i went inside and they took some blood to do all the blood test. After that i was called to do my chest X ray in another room. As soon as i was finished, they called me to do my height and weight in another room and then told me to sit while they check my immunization record to determine the shots im going to need which was dt and varicella (chicken pox). I was directed to pay for everything at that point. i paid $15 500 in total, $9900 for the medical and the rest for the shots the varicella cost $5500. they then called me to the room to get shots. All of this was completed within 1.5 to 2 hours. From then, we had to wait until the doctor got in to do the physical and fill out the forms. There first do the eye test to see what your vision is like and after wards your called in to see the doctor based on the order you did the vision test. once inside the doc will ask some questions and do his thing (15-20 mins) after your done, you go back into a room for instructions on when to come pick up the medical in a sealed envelope to take to the interview

Hope this helped.

Oh thank u very much . . . we are all waiting in line for our medical . . . so if I understand you correctly it was a total of $110 (american) for everything . . . start to finish? Then you get your results in a sealed envelope to be taken to the interview? Very helpful indeed.

This was very helpful indeed. I was wondering how long it was going to take. Quite a few people said that it took them like 4-5 hours. I was like what are they doing to them in there. Glad to know that it doesn't take that long. :)

That is based on the shots he needed, he had his immunization record. If your fiance needs more shots, it will cost more.

My advice - go to the medical expecting to spend the entire day and it may end up costing as much as $22,000 Ja (about US 250) so prepare for the worse. The cost is affected by how immunized the patient is, pregnancy and his/her age etc. If you want to know what vaccines are important check out the CDC website.

The total cost for my medical was 15 500 JMD or 180 USD. i only had to get two shots which came up to 70 USD. the rest was for the general medical and people. go to the medical expecting to spend all day. its a 4-5 hour process depending on work load and how much peeps are there. Gladly when i went, there wasnt any big family with kids. cause they have to do a physical for everyone and it takes the same time.
