It has been some time since Roxane came to the US, but I see posts all the time about which airline to use, so I wanted to re-post the info about the folks we used in the PI to book a cost-efficient flight. They were easy to work with, and saved us a good bit of money. Make sure you request the first-time immigrant discount, it knocks a few $$$ off the cost.

How much should we expect to pay? We are both poor country folk. My wife will fly out from N.A.I.A. I will print off your post now.

disregard the dates, just call or email Arlina. She will give you her best CURRENT rate. And make sure you mention the first-time immigrant discount.

My friend just paid $843 one way Delta from MNL to Ft Myers Florida. Not bad. It is around 1000 this month so she is coming 9/5. Remember flying mid week is almost always cheaper. Tues-Wed.

St. Raphael's Travel is also very dependable and offers the 1st time immigrant. We paid 630 for travel from Manila to SFO. Good deal cheaper than the posted fares. Here is the website link: St. Raphael's Travel You can't beat the 1st time immigrant discount, just have to have your visa in hand prior to the purchase.

wow....thats good. I usually pay around $1300 from Manila. I hope I can find for cheaper this time.

I 2nd that Bob, my Fiancee arrived on July 7th from Manila and we got the ticket from St. Raphaels Travel and told them she was a K-1 and asked about the first time Immigrant Discount . They told us the cost was 745.00 One Way. We jumped on that.Airline was China Air and my Fiancee says it was a good flight and she enjoyed it, no problems, and the Flight Attendants were very Nice.
