First of all...happy sunday to all here in United States of America...

I'm doing all the documents form to fill-up for Adjustment of Status...but there's this I-131 form(travel document) that made me & my husband think so well.

We just married last Month of June & my Husband told me that for sure I'm not going to travel for now (as in no plan) .

My question is what am I going to put on the date wherein in it ask you when is the date of travel?Should I just leave it blank or put NO PLAN YET?

Please sir & madam,i really need to finish all the papers to be fill-up so WE may file it maybe this coming week.

Thank you in advance...:*helpsmilie.gif

In part 3, you can put 'Unknown' and 'To be determined' for your travel dates, since you do not have any set and are only wanting it in case of emergency. Then, skip to part 7 and check for more than one trip. Also, no need to fill out a statement explaining why you want the AP if adjusting from a K-1.

That is not correct. Advance parole is not only for emergency situations. It is for emergent situations. Emergent means new - for example - yesterday you didn't have a reason to leave the US, but today you do.

Again, where is it stated AP can only be used for emergencies? What I stated is correct. They can put Unknown for their travel dates and then they will have AP just in case an emergency came up that made them need to leave the US. If they changed their minds and wanted to take a short trip home for a visit, then they could do that with AP too. Please stop taking things out of context. Letting people know it is a good idea to apply for AP even if they have no plans or needs to travel at the moment because they never know if an emergency will happen, like a family member falls ill and they need to go be with them, is not the same as stating 'AP can only be used in an emergency situation'. I have never stated such a thing.

Sorry. You are right, you never stated that.

However, I just think the way that you worded it may make some people believe that it is for emergency only. Why use the words - "for emergency", rather than "emergent situation" when that clearly covers it all. I was just trying to clarify for VJers.

In the context of someone stating they have no travel plans, do not think they will have a need for AP because they have no trips planned and won't need it; it makes perfect sense to tell them they never know when an emergency might come along and then they will need the AP, not have it, and wish they had applied for it with the I-485. I do not think stating that within the context of the topic equates to 'you can only ever use AP for an emergency situation'.
