Hi Hank (or anyone else who knows)

I've got a few quick questions about the medical at SLEC.

In this thread it says you need your embassy appintment letter:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/221658-st-lukes-

medical-exam-walkthrough/

But you mentioned that you just have to print out your embassy appointment interview confirmation page that you can get when you book your embassy appointment online

using your MNL#. Is that right? I just want to be sure so we don't book a flight to Manila and a hotel for nothing.

Then a 2nd question is - when you pay the fee at SLEC do you have to pay the $223 adult fee and $185 child fee in USD or will it be in equivalent PHP

Another question is - when you pay at BPI for the embassy fee do you have to bring USD or PHP?

Thanks very much.

Pay in Peso's for both. It has been mentioned that you don't have to have an appointment before taking the medical, we had an appointment letter.

I called the US Embassy to confirm if I can schedule my medical exam and interview but they advised me not to do any schedules since they don't have the physical documents yet. Is there anyone who scheduled their medical exam and interview even if the physical documents are not yet with the US Embassy?

We set up the interview, did the medical and the CFO before paperwork hit the embassy.

Yes... most everyone! If we all sat waiting for the letter from the embassy we would all be covered in cobwebs as that letter rarely shows up... my wife never got that letter.

I suggest printing the confirmation page from scheduling your interview so that you don't need to wait for the confirmation letter from the embassy to get going at St. Luke's. I have read of only a couple that did their medical without making the interview appointment, but they had a copy of the NVC letter/email with the MNL # on it. I don't see the logic of not having the embassy interview scheduled before the medical.

Read the embassy letter I gave you a link to. Read the St. Luke's info I gave links to. The embassy letter states payment at BPI will be made in pesos and the St. Luke's website lists the fees.

Read the last post (currently) by Hank on this thread. He says you don't need physical docs to schedule medical exam. You just have to pay embassy fee and schedule embassy interview online then print out a copy of that embassy interview confirm to take to St Luke's with you.

Hello Everyone. I also received my MNL# but was told that it is in additional processing. Should I wait till additional processing is over or should I ignore and just schedule the appointments? Thanks.

That probably means they have it but haven't sent it to the embassy yet. You could wait 3 days and call back.
