Hello fellow VJ'ers. I would appreciate anyone's help at this point because I am utterly at my wits end. We filed our AOS paperwork last November. Our case was then transferred to CSC in December. We didn't hear anything until last month when we decided to call when we fell outside the normal processing time. The lady on the phone acknowledged that we were outside normal processing time and put in a service request. Soon thereafter we recieve a ridiculous RFE in the mail stating that my income is not enough for a household of 6. However, we are and have been from the beginning a household of 4!! But in the interest of saving time, I wrote a cover letter explaining the discrepency but also sent back all paperwork for a co-sponsor which is my father who is a Retired Lt. Col, U.S. Army with a more than adequate income. Today I check the website and it now states "On July 17, 2012, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to another office for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer." Please tell me what this means!! What else could they possibly need to do?

It was most likely sent to your local office. You should expect an interview letter soon.
