How much time to look for jobs if I have F-1 visa

I am interested in studying grad school in US with F-1 visa, and then try to find jobs in US.

So after i graduate, how much time do I have to look for jobs?

You can look during your studies, and most also give you a year OPT.

I believe it is 30 days. Your job (after you complete your F-1 and receive your OPT) must be directly related to your major. If you do not find a job, you MUST go home

sorry, you are 'mis-thinking' ..

yer supposed to 'do it right' by looking for work whilst you are still in attendance at the school, prior to OPT .

The you shift from school to OPT easily, because you actually did the 'work' to find the job.

You not talk with DSO at yer university yet? I think you are missing out on the extra 'helpful' things a DSO can do for you.

thanks for all these advice... so when i am studying in school, i can look for jobs...

I have the following questions:

1) when can I start looking for jobs? Once I enter school, I can start look for work?

or do I have to study in school for certain amount of time before I am allowed to look for jobs?

2) If I get hired by a company, when do I get h1B visa?

3) after I get h1B visa, how long does it take to get green card? assuming the employer is willing to sponsor...

1. you can look for jobs as soon as you set foot in the US. You cannot work off campus until you have your OPT.

2. You get an H1B after your company applies for one for you, nothing for you to do there, it will be up to the company.

3. Again, I believe, up to the company
