was wondering the best and reliable courier service in nigeria, planning to send my police report and the signed copy of the DS-230 to my hubby.... we have DHL, FEDEX, EMS, NIPOST ( did i just say nipost no0pb.giflaughing.gif don't know whether they still exist) and how long does it take to get to the states. for y'all that have gone through this stage, please i need your help urgently..... thanks

Papers at this important magnitude FEDEX. 1 lb and under $80. Takes 4 days. Dana and Divine just did. I will do it in a few weeks. No wa o to Postal. hehe as you know.

Regular mail via post office. Unless there's a deadline. I've never not get anything mailed to me from Nigeria using regular post office.

Yeah this is one of those times where you will justhave to go with who you trust and feel comfortable with. I have yet to receive anything mailed to me postal. Have received DHL and FedEX. And my mail at least one letter that took 6 months but at least the last package the cell phone thank you Jesus got there. I just don't get something as important as this why arent we all on electronic processing for goodness sake its 2012. Man!!:crying:

Port Harcourt. This was back in 2009. And he never tried again and I never did either. I had sent a card a day for 2 weeks. That one was the one that arrived 6 months later.

my mom sent her police report via NIPOST Registered mail. got here in three weeks. Initially I was concerned cos other mails arrived earlier than that but then it was the holidays , thanksgiving and all.

GOD has been WONDERFUL!!!
CR-1 (for Husband):
09/15/2012: Got Married
09/26/2012: Mailed I-130 from Nigeria( delayed by customs)
USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).
01/28/2013: Case complete!!!
04/19/2013: Interview; APPROVED!!!!!
05/13/2013: POE; JFK

Sorry D...but as you know we used EMS via USPS International and vice versa. No problems here. But as I stated before I never sent anything electronic because of the very experience you went through...always just wired the money and he bought whatever he needed there. Glad to hear he finally got the phone though :dance:

An astute decision. Those electronic knick knacks are cheaper in Nigeria perhaps once you add shipping, etc
