So does anybody know what is up with VSC? I mean you all say the people in vermont are doin "this and that" and its just delayed or they are busy doing other things. But does everyone believe they since 6/22 they havent processed ONE visa application?

Has anyone ever seen this happen where was a whole week went by, and not a single I-129F was processed?

Theories range from H1B fiscal year coming to a close at the end of the month to a complete random redirection of resources away from K1s and the other family visas...No one has a definitive answer. Nevertheless, it's pretty bad right now, and we are all praying that it doesn't become an average of 180-200 day wait for adjudication...This week has been the worst at VSC in a very very long time..Last time VSC was operating like this was over 1.5 year ago..and it wasn't pretty..

Yea the fiscal year, that might be a good theory. Im sure they have shifted some resources away. But I think of the whole situation like this: As a business, if my nationwide goal is 5 months...then i need to meet that goal. If something other petition has priority over the I129F that is very understandable. But i would think my Boss at the end would still ask "How come u didnt meet your goal". They still have a quota to meet and a nationwide mandate that says "5 months". How bad was 1.5 years ago? We just joined like 5 months ago.

there are only a fraction of the true amount of filers here on VJ. How do you know not one single person in the entire country has not been approved? You petition isn't due to be ajudicated until August

Wow thanks for the update..these are PREDICTIONS..just like the PREDICTED timelines that VJ gives you. That is not factual information but an estimate based on fellow users information. And you can check Igors list to see who has received their NOA2 (if they choose to update their timeline). This information is what this topic is based on.

Not putting you down or this site down in any way, but if you really understand statistics, you would know that the data in this forum is useful up to a certain extent. The averages are useful, but without a measurement of spread, you cannot predict timelines accurately with "confidence." By confidence, I mean determining confidence intervals.

I'm sure most of the data in the forum is factual, but the conclusions drawn from the data are going to vary because of the fact that the sample is so small in comparison to the population.

Can I point out that just a few short months ago, VSC was blazing through apps while CSC was lagging? I had a "file buddy" who filed her I-130 the same day I did, was routed to VSC, spouse from same country, and was processed 3 months faster than I was, and she ALSO had an RFE.

This is the ebb and flow of things. Just gotta go with it.

This is absolutely correct. The timeline on VJ is just an estimate. The only number im worried about is 5 months, and thats from USCIS. So at 5 months and one day ill be calling. Some people get theirs approved faster and some slower. Its very inconsistant

That's what I'll be doing too, if it gets to that point.

Yea i thought i was lucky when we applied because VSC was so faster than CSC. Now it seems its the exact opposite. I think it will be fixed in a week or two and VSC will move some people back to catch up.

I've figured out that somewhere between 3-5% of the filers are on VJ for the I-129F. Do you honestly think that its pure coincidence that for an entire week that people who aren't on VJ got approved? Pretty big coincidence if so. I'm quite sure that even one person out of the ~32/wk would be updating their timeline.

Where are you basing your evidence of visa filers vs vj members?

Don't read so much into it. Btw, next week. Holiday. Think it's slow now? Wait until next week.

There are always periods of slow downs due to work load, supervisory and Obama requests slowing stuff down. They will return.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.
