Hi All,

I received my NOA2 on June 13, 2012 and I called NVC this morning to get a case number. I just wanted to let you know that I spoke with NVC this morning and they told me it takes approximately 20 business days after NOA2 notification for your file to be transferred from USCIS to NVC.

I am sure there are cases where it has taken longer time as well as shorter time, but I just wanted to let you know what the official window of time is.

My NOA2 date was 5/11 and NVC received my file on 5/28. It varies case by case. And get used with NVC operator's standard response for 10-20 business days for any processing related time frame.

The main hold up seems to be at CSC when actually sending the petitions out, not at VSC. Seems like VSC petitions get to NVC sooner than CSC petitions.

That's right. That's also my observation. VSC seems to be quick in forwarding applications to NVC compare to CSC.

Dude, that sucks. I hope you hear something soon. I guess you can use this time to gather all the paperwork for the AOS etc...

we got noa2 on the same date

I hope that everything goes rapidly for both you and I from here on out. It was a grueling 4 months and 1 week wait. Luckily, I was able to see my husband during that time.

After 15 business days,NVC has our case now.

And just 2 days ago, we called them again.

They said please allow them to take another 15-20 "business"days

Haha.. AOS and IV packages have been ready for 3 weeks already, sitting in their envelopes. My credit card number and expiry date are just waiting to be entered into NVC's payment portal.

My NOA2 was May 21st and NVC responded to my email on June 14th saying that they recently received my case. No case number yet I am still waiting.

So they DO arrive eventually? Lol.. I was scared they got dumped into a rip in the fabric that is space time, floating around a vortex for an undefinded amount of time. But if 15 business days actually does get it to the nice men and women over in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, I'm happy.

I'd take the "additional 15 - 20 business days" with a grain of salt. The main hold up is at the CSC, not NVC it seems like. Call every day! NVC phonathon!
