Okay, I really don't know how to hurdle this.

My husband refuses to wear condoms, but he really

wants to have sex. I have no access to other forms

of birth control at this time, and no access to medical

insurance until we get my immigration status sorted.

We've tried the 'pull and pray' method and it just leaves

me constantly stressed out until my next time of the month.

Our living condition is poor; We live in a studio apartment

type setting and don't even have a proper kitchen.

What do I do?

Fertility Awareness Method. It's free. I guess it costs the price of a basal thermometer.

I'm allergic to the Pill, so it's been barrier methods for me since my early 20s when I discovered that fun fact. Do they still sell the sponge over there? I remember getting it at Boots, but I don't recall seeing them in ages. There's also something called VCF which is available over here now. Not as effective as a condom and kind of irritating to learn how to fold without getting it stuck on your fingers.wacko.gif Basal method is also an idea. Boots used to sell this nifty little computer thingy too called Persona but it involved LOTS of peeing on a stick and wasn't cheap.

I know you are in the UK without a spousal visa, so you don't have access to the NHS, which is really a shame because I found they were very happy to work with my medical restrictions and of course it was free at the point of use. When you do get your status sorted, make this a priority since you can't avail yourself of the really effective stuff without seeing a doctor (the Pill, diaphragm, IUD). In the meantime, try contacting your local sexual health clinic and see if they will see you anyway, even for a fee. http://www.fpa.org.u...ice/findaclinic Note that the FPA gives free advice to EVERYONE in the UK, which includes you.

We're on the P-n-P plan now too, but we're prepared to deal with the consequences (which at my perigeriatric age is becoming less and less likely anyway).

Thanks for the feedback ... I fondly remember VCF but I haven't seen it around

here yet ... unless the chemist hides it behind the counter.

Adriene -- I updated my post a little. The FPA (who I linked to) will give free advice to everyone in the UK, regardless of status. Get in touch!

If you are in the UK and go to a sexual health clinic, they will give you whatever you need anyway. All you have to do is fill in a form with your name and address (wherever youre staying). No NHS number or visa requirements needed. Just turn up and wait.

Best birth control = his father and fraternal grandma watching with keen interest.

Serious = Option 1 wrap it up since you guys can't afford children (even yourselves). Option 2 look up natural birth control methods if bare back is so irresistible (some may require a bit of up front expenses).

Pro option 1: barrier between STDs and non infected person, next to nil pregnancy, sex all day everyday 24/7.

Pro option 2: mind blowing O's (but only when you're not ovulating (happens for 7 days) which sucks (which you may have to do more) since horniness is at it max during ovulation).

We are not animals.

...uuuuuhhh yeah were are. I'm sure Adriene hollers like a monkey when her husband starts playing the opening song for The Lion King.
