My I-30 was on approved on April 23,2012 and since than I've tried calling NVC to get my case number it they keep telling me that it's in the system yet. Can anyone please help me? I am a little worry. How long does it usually take to get case assigned after I-130 has been approved?

Same boat, my I-129F was approved April 26th. Still not received by the NVC even after an expedite. It seems an absurd waiting time just to forward the package to the next step, or for them even to receive it from the Vermont Service Center! But hopefully they will get it together soon out there, they seem to be backed up a bit or something. It's very unfortunate each day I wait an unknown length I will spend more time in the desert than with my future wife once she is here. Try not to worry, I doubt they've lost it, thinking about it more will make you frustrated and the time will seem longer. I wish I knew more to tell you, but all I get is the canned "thats the average time for the NVC to receive your case" every call too.

Thanks for all the replies. I will keep trying to contact them even though one operator said it should be 15 days and other one told me 20 days.

My opinion, what I did was sent an email to them with my WAC number asking if it was received... It took two days and they answered me yes, then I called to check.

It was not easy to keep calling, cos its expensive and I need to be luck to wait less than 3 min online.... So try the email, it was useful for me

;)

good luck!

I Emailed my approval letter to NVCresearch and this is their reply:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Please be advised that the National Visa Center (NVC) has received your

inquiry and the attached I-797 Notice of Action - Approval Notice.

Unfortunately, we do not have record of receiving your approved petition

from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The NVC will contact

USCIS on your behalf for information on the location of this petition.

Can someone help what is going on with uscis?

Your NOA2 was in April and you STILL don't have a case number? That really depresses me! Our NOA2 is from early this month and I am already calling every day asking for a case number! Fingers crossed for you :)
