No, still nothing yet.

At the end of July my congressman's office said to expect a decision within 30 days, so that still gives them about 20 days left before I can contact them again for any followup.

Since my I-485 was transferred again last week then it seems something is happening, somewhere.

Quick update... received RFE regarding 864. I have an infopass scheduled for August 21 to go over paperwork. More than likely will need a joint sponsor. Grrr. :wacko::bonk::crying: My hubby's been supporting me for 16 years, but according to the USCIS, we don't meet the requirements. Sooooooo Sttoooooopid!!! Who me? Frustrated? No.... :huh:

Oh, if I suddenly apply for a waiver of this whole 864 thingy, will that cause any red flags?? We actually could have applied for the waiver, but I was in a rush and overlooked the paperwork. DOH!

So, at the rate I'm going, I might get an interview by Christmas. Shall we start a little betting pool?? :innocent:

wow... what in the world? I was afraid we may have problems at the interview since the husband is self employed and I am .. not at all employed...SO I went on kbb.com and got the values of all our vehicles (apparently those add up) and I made a list of 'assets' since apparently those can count towards income as well JUST IN CASE . Never got to show it but is that something you can do? Would it help at all?

I don't think there is any waiver that you can submit in lieu of an I-864.

There is a technical waiver for people who are not required to file one, such as self-petitioning VAWA applicants, self-petitioning widow/ers (I filed one) and children who, upon admission to the US, will become citizens under the Child Citizenship Act (2000). In these situations you file an I-864W and that is all that is required.

Everyone else has to file an I-864 or I-864EZ, with either their spouse being the only sponsor (if their income is over the prescribed levels) or with a joint sponsor (if not).

No, previous wives were born US citizen. He is as american as it gets....I must have really spun his head blush.gif

Yes, she did ask about the marriages. the IO turned to him at one point and said "so you have been married before" and he said yes twice and started to explain why they didn't work out and she said "that's ok you don't have to explain" and I asked her if she wants to see the original divorce decrees and she said no... that was that.
