List of longer than usual/expected ROC applicants

I think it's time I start a thread about those whose ROC application has been longer than usual / expected.

When I say longer than usual / expected, I meant if you still has not receive any decision for longer than PROMISED 6 months beginning the day where you initially sent in your 751, then you qualify for the list.

I'll start, and if you can follow this format when you fill in your own.

  • Original ROC filing date: June 13 11
  • Service Center: CSC
  • Local Office (If applicable): Los Angeles
  • Date of LATEST action (notice/contact/response from USCIS) and date: Response to my service request to update my case. Feb 12
  • AOS received date: June 27 11
  • Bio date: July 11
  • RFE received (Y/N), if yes, when AND response date: Yes. Received July 11, responded Sept 11.
  • Application Relocation Notice received (Y/N), if yes, when: Yes. October 11.
  • Decision date (if received): N/A
  • Amount of period in months since the initial ROC to the time of posting: 8 months, 22 days.

You don't have to put in the exact day, but the month and year is required.

Let's get some statistics going on here as I'm sick and tired of waiting.

Did you try to get your Senator involved? they ARE very efficient when it comes to dealing with a federal agency

Depends on the State. As for the State of California? Ha, I'd be holding US passport for YEARS before they even get back to me.

Also when I mean AOS, I mean NOA. Now I can't edit my original post.

I'm with you on the being sick and tired of waiting.. Also..when they told me to wait 30 days from when i put in my service request, do they mean 30 business days or 30 days in general.. I originally phoned them for a service request on February 2nd and almost a week later got an email confirming my request and then three days after that, i got the letter in the mail which said that they would make a decision within 30 days... well depending on when you count the start of the 30 days, i would say that the time is pretty much up... And still nothing..... Here's my statistics:

  • Original ROC filing date: June 1st, 2011
  • Service Center: CSC
  • Local Office (If applicable): N/A
  • Date of LATEST action (notice/contact/response from USCIS) and date: Response to my service request to update my case. Feb 8th by email/Feb 11th by mail
  • NOA received date: June 2, 11
  • Bio date: July 11
  • RFE received (Y/N), if yes, when AND response date: No
  • Application Relocation Notice received (Y/N), if Yes, When: No
  • Decision date (if received): N/A
  • Amount of period in months since the initial ROC to the time of posting: 9 months

Just filled out my N-400, as of 14th of this month if I still don't hear anything from them? I'm filing N-400 as it'll be 90 days from the ORIGINAL GC PR-Since date.

I should add if you are qualified for N-400 and if so how many days has it been into the info sheet.

It's no guarantee but when we (the 3 of us who filled out the info sheets) filed our ROC, the processing time from both USCIS' site (which was never to be trusted to begin with) AND the monthly filer sheets this forum has is averaging around 6-7 months. That's considered normal processing time, which if they are not discriminating or F things up, then we should be "promised" the same time period for our ROCs.

But NOOOOOOOOOO, the man upstairs says you are staying late tonight.

So it has been well over 30 days since i put in a service request.. so i phoned the call centre again today.. The woman on the phone was very nice, (a sharp contrast to the man i spoke to when i put in the first service request.). Anyway, she took all the details down again and said that they would forward the information to CSC and that i should hear from them in 15 days.. if not, then (you've guessed it), i have to phone them back again....(the saga continues........:clock:)

Man, USCIS trolled us HARD.

Anyway as of today I'm qualified for N400. I'm giving it till the end of the month. If I still don't hear from them then I'm filling my N-400.

This is getting nothing but effing ridiculous.

Wow that is effed up! 9+ months into the whole thing with no update and it took less than a day to make an interview appointment a month away???

Man sometimes I wonder what the F they are doing... Slacking off taxpayers hard earned money and troll people for fun while the illegals are walking across the border and drain us empty on frauds and claims???

I hope you the best man... By the mean time I'll still be waiting.

*sigh*

I did not hear anything yet but now i think thats how it will be if you are not one of the lucky ones got approved earlier so ur chances for RFE are high or wat :angry::wacko:

I know! I just don't understand their logic at all at how they do things. The only 'bonus' if you can call it that, is that at least i have finally heard something from them!! I really hope you hear something soon. If not, filing the N400 should surely speed things up for you?

th3mo: It seems anyway for CSC filers that if you don't get approved within 6 months or so, then an RFE /interview certainly looks to be the next stage. I know that VSC is very slow in comparison to CSC in approvals, so you may be ok. Hope you hear something soon!
