Really amazed to see people buying tickets before their interviews. I'm not nearly that brave. And it's nothing to do with the legitimacy of our relationship, and *everything* to do with the difficulty of the consulate. I am so wishing right now that we were able to be that confident of the outcome of the interview: everything after Nov. 5 is a huge question mark.

Mariya, I'm so sorry to hear your update. Please take care of yourself.

The UK consulate seems to be quite good from what I've read, maybe due to the relationship between the two countries. I also know that it's not that long to receive the passport/visa after the interview. That's why I'm happy to book my flight before the interview.

Hello everyone,

I think it'd be good to post here since a lot of March filers are still waiting for NOA2. As I can see most people here already got their interview date. My question is that: Does NVC email us with case numbers or do we have to call them? Can NVC provide us with tracking numbers when they forward approved petition to the US embassy? Your replies is appreciated.

Hi

NVC do eventually send out a letter I believe, but it's best to start calling them around 5 days after getting NOA2. You will be able to ask them if a case number has been given. Eventually they'll say when it's being or has been sent to the consulate. They wont give you a tracking number, you have to work it out for yourself using the formula below...

Go to the DHL website and click 'Express' then 'Tracking'. On the left you should have an option for 'Track by Shippers Reference', click this. Then on this page you add your search information...

Exmaple:

Shipper´s Reference: EXP 13 SEP2012A

Date range for shipment - From: 12/09/2012

Date range for shipment - To: 14/09/2012

Account Number: Ignore

Shipment Destination: You choose your country or you can leave it blank - blank will just list all the ones they shipped in the range

Generally if NVC say they shipped it you need to check a day either side of the date they say they shipped it adjusting the reference.

My service request just finished the thirty days and it came back with backgrounds pending and as far as the congressional inquiry I was told to wait 45 business days for a response. I got lucky with a teir 2 rep yesterday that told me i was mistakenly on a administrative hold and put a request that is higher than a service request to get my NOA2 in five days. good luck you have been waiting longer than me i hope the best for you that something comes quickly.

Oh wow, really... I hope you really get yours soon! Thanks a lot, we probably broke a record or something. :)

Thank you. My fiance will try to call NVC next week and see if they have received our approved petition package.

Antsy can't begin to describe how I'm feeling... Interview date set, car rentals, hotel rooms all booked. Surgery is a go for Oct 18. Sweetie arrives here in Canada on Oct 17, Interview on Oct 22 then fly out as soon as we can pick up visa. I phoned Loomis who takes care of the pick ups with the consulate here and they said the consulate will expedite our delivery if we pay at the consulate once the visa has been approved. Consulate replied to my email and said "we will discuss it at your appointment"

Oh and did I mention my sweetie got so excited when we got our NOA2 he mailed out the invitations? Our wedding date was going to be Oct 28. It's going to be very close but not sure how much can be done once we arrive there on Oct 25-26..
