thank you for your reply, very helpful.. is there any way to contact the embassy and request that the interview date they give is brought forward? i have good reason... put simply, my fiancee's father is very sick and literally every week counts, he as well as everybody else would like him to be at our wedding, a time over 5 weeks for interview could seriously mean he doesnt make it, then put a serious downer on our wedding day.

Im wondering if the embassy will have any sympathy for our situation. Any ideas anyone ?

I had my medical on the 17th January, my interview was February 13th, which I thought was very quick, but I stated on my cover letter we have a tentative wedding date of March 17th, which I assume had something to do with the earlier interview date.

Did you put a wedding date on your packet 3 cover letter? You can call the embassy and see if there is anything they can do. I have heard of people's interview dates being changed before, but I don't know if they were moved forward or backward.

Since you have just started the K1 process, I think you should be looking at how to expedite your petition with USCIS. London is a long way off. Your fiance filed so she would do that.

When your petition makes it to NVC, you can call and ask for your new case number. Make the medical appointment using that LNDxxxxxx number. When you submit your forms to London, use the cover letter to explain your urgency. Put a sentence in bold Please note: I have an urgent need for a quick interview so they will see it. Ask for any cancellation slot they have and tell them you can attend on short notice. Emphasize you have had the medical (give date), and that you have every document needed for the interview in hand. Include your email address.

Be sure you do get everything you need lined up so you will be ready on short notice. If you haven't read this thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/ it will give you some good tips on things to get done before NOA2.
