Well.....we got the "Blue" slip!!!! We were denied the visa due to ,according to the blue form,221(g)-Lacking Documents. But on an attached sheet with a checkmark it says: Your petitioner does not meet the requirements of section 213A (I-864) and to overcome their decision, return with an original signed affidavit of support(I-864) FROM A CO_SPONSOR....REALLY!!! First of all,why do I need a co-sponsor? If I felt I needed a co-sponsor I would never have sent this in to begin with. I will admit,my income for 2009 & 2010 probably was the deal breaker, but they asked for 6 mos.of most recent check stubs for current employment which showed I easily qualified under the federal guidelines for poverty!!! #######!!!!! It is all nothing but a bunch of bureaucratic B.S. if you ask me. So what am I suppose to do,stop someone on the street and ask if they want to be a co-sponsor to someone for the helluvit??? I know it's not the end of the word, but this is a bunch of #######.

It seems I lost my original thread on here so I will post a new one! Anyhow,a few more day's til the interview on Feb.7 in Guangzhou.Hope all goes well!! My wife is there but she comes home on the 8th.We were trying to time the interview day with her time in China. On Dec.27th,she changed her flight to come home on Feb.8 and the next day her son's packet IV came.Oh well,he'll have to fly by himself(he's a teenager. Also, they changed his visa status to an IR-2,was a CR-2.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

A question/comment regarding the Federal Guidelines for Poverty: For a family of 3,listed on the chart is 23,000 and some change. Is this the total income needed to qualify or do I need to multiply this amount by 125%?? In either case,I qualify under these requirements. So why do I need a co-sponsor? Thanks to the economy and job losses,no-one in my family can help!

multiply by 125 %

There's some guidelines in the I-864P document - that's the doc the VOs in GUZ IV-land are using.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

This is where I got the information determining my qualification! I did'nt see any information that the VOs can use to say otherwise.Unless,of course, it's something hidden deep inside the form that only they can see!! It's still a mystery to me why they did'nt approve. They did'nt even ask my stepson to see the 6 mos. worth of current income stubs that I sent him even though they had the copies I sent in with the AOS form!! Maybe it's because I submitted the I-864EZ?? But I read the instructions and it said I could use this. I don't know...I'm just ticked off because we've waited a long time and there is absolutely no reason to turn this down. All of us on here are doing everything the legal way and you got some fence jumpers that get in here illegally and take our jobs, their kids can go to school here, get health care, etc.!And we get screwed!!
