They made up the part about the himalayas losing ice and admitted they don't have proper instruments to study glaciers. I think it's pretty safe to assume they are making a lot up!

Have you ever read a scientific study that you didn't think was made up?

No, I just am constantly amused by those who want to turn global warming into fear.

The earth has warmed and cooled over the course of history at an undetermined rate of speed. There have been long-term warming period, long-term cooling periods, short-term for both as well and some that last the blink of an eye. We take baby steps to TRY to learn and more about our past, but at the end of the day we don't really know. It's all a guess. It's all an assumption.

Take a look at Antartica. Many say it used to be right on the equator millions of years ago. Now it sits directly on the south pole.

We argue that the polar ice caps have melted completely during warming trends and the earth wasn't under water. Hell, maybe it was. Maybe that's the true story of Noah's ark like the movie makers want us to think. Who the hell knows.

The fact of the matter is though at the end of the day is we are trying to understand how we can prevent our demise. We keep looking for it to happen and keep waiting for it to happen. This is why science in itself is a religion that tries to back itself up. Where religious people are waiting for the apocolypse to come where they can "return," scientists know the apocolypse is coming as well, but are looking for ways to prevent it or ways to cheat it to survive. It's all based on a hope or a theory that it's possible.

I believe "science" that I can't see as much as I believe religion that I can't see. That is, I don't. Seeing is believing and that's the exact point over this issue with the Himalayas the past couple of years. Everyone SAID it was one way and then they are "STUNNED!!!!" when it turns out to be a different way when they actually go over there and take a damn look!!

So the article concludes that there has been no glacier loss in the Himilayas but the major source of rising sea levels (polar melting) continues as predicted, and 39 cubic miles of ice is lost annually and "People should be just as worried about the melting of the world's ice as they were before."

So what is it you're really gloating about? Details? Well I guess if that's what you have, you gotta run with it. Kind of lame though, after all the ####### you gave Steven.

What this amounts to is "We can't find any proof but you should definitely continue to send money because it needs more study"
