I just got off the phone with NVC. they just inform me that our 404 dollars fee has been rejected it, i was so surprised. The operator said that he didnt get throuh and we will have to make the payment again. I do not understand why this happened, while the system showed that IV fee payment showed pay.

I heard something like mailing it back. The woman i was talking to was a bit rude, her voice wasn t clear at all. I am gonna have my wife call them again in a few.

Try calling them again. It could be an operator mistake. Another operator might tell you everything is fine

Yes get your wife to call and ask if they're mailing it back to you or keeping them until the new payment clears.

I do not think it is an operator mistake as they advised me to go back to the payment portal. I did and i see it shows" not paid"

It looks like something went wrong. Did your wife have enough money in her account? Did she look to see if the amount was withdrawn?

i think that something like that happened. I am trying to reach her over the phone so that she can contact her bank just to see where the problem is.

A quick question, folks. So our petition has been approved and we're awaiting a case number from NVC. Is there a guesstimate as to how long it takes before you get it?

Like another member said, it's been taking about 1-3 weeks from NOA2 to get the case number assigned. I'd suggest to start calling on Monday, and everyday after that, until you get your case number. While you're waiting, get both packages ready!

my IV package at NVC since tuesday morning, i hope they contact me via email during the day to inform if there is any RFE or if it is accepted and waiting for AOS

They won't email you saying they accepted it. And you might not get a checklist requesting the AOS package. Do NOT depend on these emails. You should be calling every single day to stay up to date on your case.

If your package sent to NVC is under review, will the AVR inform you that?

You should be calling EVERY SINGLE DAY. Do NOT be afraid to call them once a day. You have access to this resource (operators at NVC), so use it!

Today makes 1 week since NOA2- should I be wondering where my case # is??

One question: After receiving the case number, IIN, and all fees paid and appearing as paid, and bar codes generated, I have to wait for NVC to send me the package or I can send the AOS and IV Application directly to NVC?

I ask this because today I called the NVC and the message on my case saying that my fees were paid on February 3 and I had to wait six weeks for the arrival of my package, but day before yesterday my lawyer already sent the AOS and IV Application complete and does not wait any package to arrive since the bar codes and everything was generated.

Each time we called NVC and speak with someone, and each one give to us different information.

After we pay the fees, my husband called and one of the operators said they were expecting us to send the documentation corresponding to AOS and IV application. So I asked my lawyer to send it because we have all we needed.

I am freaking out right now!

I don't know if we did the wrong way, ya'll thing we should wait NVC send the package... ???

No, you don't wait for NVC to send you any information packages. The fastest way to save time in NVC is by sending the packages after their respective bills appear as PAID in the payment portal.

Your lawyer did it correctly Take a deep breath and smile, your lawyer actually knows what they're doing in this case.

No you do not need to wait. Once the fees appear as PAID, and if you have printed the bar coded coversheets, you're good to go!

Actually my lawyer does not have much idea of what he is doing. He did not want to send the package because he said I had to wait for NVC to send me something by mail. And thanks to VJ I also discovered that I was no longer K-3, and had to prove to my lawyer that the k-3 was administratively closed since both I130 and I129F petitions were approved together. What makes me upset about all this is that I paid expensive money for this lawyer and he showed me he is not updated on the visa procedures. And now I am doing everything alone. But he need to send it because the DS 3032 is in his name ... But i have faith in God we will survive!!!!
