I have gotten so much encouraging info here I thought I would share this for the January CSC filers who thought Calif was moving quicker than the rest!!

1/10/12 I129F Received

1/12/12 NOA1 Received in mail

1/13/12 "Touched"

6/21/12 Write to my Congressman

6/22/12 Called and put in Service Request

6/27/12 E-mail to DHS Ombudsman via FormDHS-7001

6/30/12 E-mail from USCIS on Service Request: "You should receive duplicate Approval Notice in 14 days"

7/2/12 E-mail from USCIS that petition has been approved.

Now it's on to the NVC and wait for our interview! Given that I have visited 8 times in the last 2 years, spent a lot of time with the family in the village, have heaps of photos, cards, e-mails etc I am optimistic that the interview will go smoothly. Thanks!

Ugh. This sucks so much for all of you!!!!!! Crazy. I am so glad to have the NOA2 behind us. There is still a lot of waiting ahead but at least that part is over. Still got my fingers and toes crossed for those still waiting.

I, on the other hand, will be calling NVC back again later this week--pretty late now with tomorrow being the holiday--and demanding some sort of answer. Really, mailing a pack of papers from one place to another cannot possibly take this damn long!

On another topic, I am working like a crazy person on all of the stuff we will need for the interview (we don't have packets here since there is no real mail system, so they put a list online so I already know what we must have at the interview...we don't send stuff in ahead of time, just take it all that day). So I have a question. My fiance was given lots of vaccinations as a child, most of them at school. THey give out these little cards that you are supposed to take home to Mom and she should save them so that you have a record......well, it appears that they never made it home and we have no vaccination record. It is possible to do a titer test of the blood now but I just called the best doctor in town and apparently that technology has not arrived yet (no surprise there!). So I have heard multiple things about having the vaccinations at the time of the medical exam. We don't need a vaccine record until AOS, correct? I don't think it's a great thing to get lots of vaccinations twice since I am sure he has had most of the really common ones....so I would prefer getting him to the US, doing a titer test, and then getting the vaccines that he needs. But I also don't want to have any problems at the Embassy, of course!!!

211 Days... Just utterly ridiculous!!! :angry:

The hardest part is the unfairness of it all... and we pay $$ for this service... :angry:

how did you get 211 days if you have 5 month and 1 week from noa1? you about 160 days...

how did you get 211 days if you have 5 month and 1 week from noa1? you about 160 days...

Yep, we were approved the same day---June 11. Waiting and waiting is right!!!!

July 5, 2012 NVC rec'd and new case number given

July 9, 2012 Left NVC en route to Honduras! :)

Oct. 8, 2012 Medical

Oct. 10, 2012 INTERVIEW: APPROVED!!!

Thanks for the happy independence day. It hasn't been happy at all tho I'm afraid. I worked today and still no noa2. I'm like Sabi: bitter. I'm sick n tired of waiting and still nothing from my case worker. I thought shed be back from vacation but maybe she isn't yet. This is the suckiest dumbest system ever. I'm glad they don't just let anyone in after 9/11 but I also wish there was a more efficient way of doing this or if they would just give us a date to look forward to instead of saying "5 months" then 5 months+ rolls along and they're like "ha ha just kidding we mean, 12 months"..... I'm ready to rip their hair out!!!!!

1/24/12: Received E-Notification in email that I129F packet was being sent to VSC for initial review

1/27/12: Received NOA1 in US mail

7/12/12: Received text notification at 3:45pm central time stating our case had been updated *APPROVED!*

7/15/12?: Received NOA2 in US mail (not sure of this date)

7/20/12: NVC forwarded case to London Embassy

7/27/12: Fiance received letter from London Embassy stating they'd received our case and instructions for obtaining interview

7/30/12: Fiance mailed DS 156, DS 156K, DS 230, DS 157, DS 2001 to London Embassy

8/20/12: Medical

8/31/12: Called DOS and was told interview date: 10/3/12

9/3/12: Sent email to London Embassy requesting interview date be changed

9/5/12: Received response from London Embassy (via email) stating interview date had been changed to 9/10/12

9/7/12: Received new letter from London Embassy with new interview date & time

I really need to see you guys approved soon. The wait is killing me. I'm keeping quiet because I don't want our good fortune to seem like we are rubbing it in your faces. We're all rooting for you. Something needs to be done, and I'm hoping that the USCIS is getting lots of shouty congressman down their backs. What is happening is not fair to you or anyone else.

It is a tricky one isn't it? I absolutely don't mind you guys being happy and talking about your medicals, interviews etc... I am happy for you and it definitely doesn't bother me reading your updates! However it is just so hard to read how some people complain about slow NVC when actually they should be ready for 2-4 weeks wait. It's not the end of the world compared to almost 6 months wait for NOA2 only! I think I speak for everyone but not everyone will admit it :) So please do update us on the progress, I am sure we all want to know what the next steps look like :) but also appreciate what you have, cause a bunch of us would love to be where you (by "you" meaning people) are now... :)
