Interview Payment??????

I thought you could pay at the interview (for K1) but when I went to book the interview it said I couldn't continue without full payment of 350$ each applicant ?? (by credit card or paypal) Just curious if this is the only way?

I did my interview at the Amsterdam Consulate and could not pay cash at the interview but had to do it through my bank account ahead of time and bring proof of the payment to the interview.

After I send package 3 back I received package 4 and that told me how much and to what account to send it.

You pay online now before you go. you bring a printed off receipt with you.

Did they change this recently? Just a few months ago there WAS a way to get around paying the fee online- it's a roundabout way though and I'm not sure how it works. I know people in the recent past have paid the fee in person but I can't remember who exactly...

I'm pretty sure you're still allowed to pay the fee in person but it has to be in American cash.

I suppose there might be? When I went in July it was online only. I don't remember there being an option though, just you had to pay to be able to pick your interview date.

From the stickied Montreal guide:

You’ll be prompted to select your reason for immigrating, and you can chose either of the K1 options (Permanently immigrate or ready to schedule). If you chose “Permanently Immigrate” you will need to pay the $350 fee via credit card before you can schedule. If you would rather pay the fee at the interview (US cash only, exact change!) just choose “ready to schedule”

I really hope this is still the case. I have the US cash here already, just waiting to be used.
