I would be careful with your phrasing, WANTTOBEANAMERICAN. Deathstrike is NOT a US Citizen and won't be until sworn in at their oath ceremony (Deathstrike, I know you are aware of this, just wanted to make sure that WTBAA is aware of this, too). It is very important that people remember NOT to claim to be a US Citizen until they are sworn in as one.

Travel is not a problem. Even if you would miss your oath without notfifying USCIS, you can still call them (within a year) to resume your case and have your oath rescheduled. Worst that can happen is a delay. Only thing you have to make sure is that your travel plans do not violate the eligibilty requirements. If your physical presence in the US remains within the eligibility requirements nothing will happen. However, if asked about any changes since interview do mention this trip.

We understand and appreciate that, just wanted to warn you of the dangers of saying you are a USC before you actually are one. Had my pretty uneventful interview this morning.

after waiting like 5min from appt time at 850 (got there at 830), a very nice lady called me in. Verified current address, SSN, ph#, if I had any other trips after submitting the N400. Asked me to read "Who was Abraham Lincoln" and write 'Lincoln was president during the civil war".

Questions asked were:

- Name one of the largest rivers in US

- who lived in US before europeans

- Who is the speaker of the house

- when was declaration of Independence

- How many years we elect a president for

- What are the first ten amendments called

handed me a white paper with congratulations part checked. She said I will be scheduled for ceremony here in Tallahassee, but cant estimate a date (which is good and bad - good since no 6hr drive, bad since I am scheduled for a trip in end of May, in case the oath is within a week before the trip - I am in trouble as I wont have GC).

my dad passed his test, mom didnt .. on the speech part. she said while the IO was going through her application and on those YES/NO parts she answered one wrong. Then the IO asked again, she answered right then. IO said she is weak in english speech and needs to be tested again. She was given the white paper with speech part checked on retest.

Question about the Online Case Status, does the online notification ever change from In-Line for an interview, to something else once the interview date has been set? I had my FP appt. in 2/16 and got a yellow letter asking me to bring state license , current/expired passport and a court disposition documents on 2/28.

I have been checking the site looking to see if the status changes once the letter is in the mail.
