We have some big news here. We have moved... to England! Yep, we missed having a visa journey so much, we started another one soon after I naturalized. I think we must be crazy, but c'est le vive!

WOW, the fact this thread is only kept alive by me really speaks to how long this wait has been, although a few more days and its over.

But I come now looking for some thoughts/advice, I understand the oath letter states for proper attire required for the ceremony. I am not going to play the fool and not understand that proper attire would be at the very least slacks and button down shirt. However, I find myself having to race from teh ceremony to work on the same day, work attire is casual, jeans and a tee shirt. I am really considering using nice jeans and a neat polo to the oath since this I could wear to work. Why I would go through this trouble you might ask, well in a casual workplace, usually, when someone comes dressed up the though is the person had an interview fro a diff job or something ... don't wanna start questions or rumors.

Either way it is just an early thought, currently I have the both attires ready to go for Thur.

A nice buttoned polo and jeans with some kind of shoes should be just fine IMO. I think as long as it is not some dirty tee with torn jeans and sandals - they would even care.

Thanks for the reply, I told my wife what I was thinking, her answer, "hell no, it's a once in a lifetime event, shirt and pants!!". Oh well, that;s married life for you, but deep down, I think she is right. I will have to leave some jeans and a tee in the car and change before going into the office.
