Hi to every one,

My wife is from Pakistan. I applied for her 20July 2010,I30 approved on Mar 24 2011, Interview date Aug10 2011

Result AP. I've Called 2 times and Emailed 3 times. Same answer every time //pending its under AP

Wish everyone get there visa soon. its too much stress to live without our families.

Dear All, I know we are all frustrated with the embassy for AP. But honestly AP is not up to the consulate. Once they send the file to Washington requesting Security Advisory Opinion, they have to suspend working on the case until they receive clearance from Washington. Most of the time when a name is common and it gets a false hit in the name check data base again and again it the case is given to person in the Washington DC office to clear it manually. So now how fast your case will clear depends on the person sitting in Washington DC who has your file. So, the hold up is actually the State Department Washington DC office, not the embassy.

I called DOS in september, and DOS told me that our case is in consulate now and it was sent back in August 2011. AP started in may 2011, since they always say we are waiting to complete the case,

Everyday is indeed a struggle for those of us who have been genuinely patient; I sometimes wonder about people who got cleared in June right after their interviews (when I appeared for mine) and wonder as to why it happened the way it happened, the answer is simple; there's always a reason we're not aware of. I wonder if it happened 'cause the lovely's white and I'm, of course... ethnically Pakistani. Or perhaps 'cause we met in UK, or I went to Saudi Arabia for me pilgrimage when I was 16... it all baffles me. But I'm a patient lad, and I know for sure it'd all work out.

I thought we needed it since a lot of times we don't see other members from pakistan and what they are going thru with thier AP... I know other countries also deal with AP but it seems Islamabad is one of the embassies that take so much longer... thats why i felt we needed a specific ISlamabad ap tracker...

Yes.. if anyone has any updates on their cases please let us know ASAP!

Carolynhotstuff.. it's definitely a little extra but if it helps us to see how this embassy gives AP and how long it actually takes then it's worth every minute of my time. It's the unknown that is the most difficult and when you read stories of years long AP there are always things behind it that you don't know just like the F2A visas waiting for priority dates but at least here we can figure it out together.

My CR1 husband had his interview on Oct 19 and was told he was approved pending further office work, this i later found out meant AP. His ap lasted exactly 2 month & 1 day. His visas was issued on Dec 21st.

Good Luck to everyone who is still waiting. I will continue to keep all of you in my prayers.
