This is for K-1 why are you posting in the Spousal Visa section?

You can get a co-sponsor if you do not meet the requirements.

You can use savings if you do not meet the requirements in income.

Jamaica portal posts in the Jamaica section. Not the CR-1/IR-1 section. They are two completely different places.

You filed a K-1 which is not a Spousal visa procedure so you need to post in the K-1 section or in the Jamaica section.

As far as I understand it, SS disability(SSDI) can be counted as income, but SSI cannot be. Child support can be counted if it will be ongoing and continue for several years. Show a copy of your court order and any evidence that shows the payments being made to you, such as bank deposits showing the child support amount being deposited each month to your account.

Duplicate thread has been moved from the CR-1 Spousal Visa forum to the K-1 fiancee visa forum and merged with existing thread already in K-1 forum

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Child support, YES. SSI, no. SSI is one of the few forms of income that are not allowable to be counted, it is welfare, not "income". Another that does not count is student loans EXCEPT any portion which may be designated as a "housing allowance" Virtually anything else counts, including unemployment, with documentation that it is being paid.

Do you receive SSDI or SSI? SSDI (disablity) IS allowable. SSI (Supplemental income) is not counted.

If the payments ARE SSDI, who are they paid to? You? They count. The children? They do not.

BUT SSi is dissabilty

SSDI is disability. SSi is welfare supplemental cash payments.

Sorry if I am wrong but I have never heard of two differnt types of SSI benefits. My children receive SSI benefits due to medical issues and I have never heard of being welfare.
