Work Adress Versus Home Adress

I might be over concern too much. But here it is. My fiance and I already put all the informations on G-325A and I-129F. I put my adresses for the last five years. Another part, applicant's employer last five years including name and adresses of employer. Due to my work that always demand to move in another place for some certain period, I am thinking, WHAT IF, I have an order from my work to move and stay at new place during my K-1 Visa process?

Can I use work adress for mail correspondence with the consulate? What should I put on the petition? If I use work adress, my employer would forwarded the documents that mailed to me to the branch office where I would stationed in the future. If I use my home adress that temporarely, it means, I could lose my immediate contact to finish all the process. Do any VJ'ers used their work adresses to have correspondence with the consulate? Is it acceptable by them? Thank you in advance.star_smile.gif

We did a change of address while our petition was being processed. I might suggest that to avoid any confusion you wait to change it if you have to move. You can then do it through DOS after you get your case number from NVC and they send it to the consulate. A word of caution though to make sure that DOS gets the address correct, you may want to also send an email to the IV unit at your consulate to be sure.

Good luck!

Thank you for quick response. My next question is, do the consulate choose the mailing adress to correspondence with beneficiary or are they just took it from recent adress on I-129F and G-325A form? Does beneficiary can suggest it?

The consulate is going to use the most current address that is stated in the petition (I-129 and G-325) to correspond with the Beneficiary. You can file a change of address after the petition is sent to USCIS but I would wait until it passes through NVC (after NOA2). Before then there is no need to change it as all correspondence will be sent to the petitioner.

I hope this answers your question.
