So, yesterday I finally got the approval for my greencard :dance: I am really happy and feel so relieved! When I got the email I cried and smiled at the same time. Finally it's over.. at least for now! :D

On top of that I got a call for a job interview on monday. :)

I'll keep my fingers crossed all of you who are still waiting!

If we are still waiting and not heard anything at what point can we enter in a service request? 6 months from when we sent it or 6 months after the biometrics?

AOS Journey

11-04-2011 sent AOS to Chicago lockbox

11-07-2011 delivered

11-08-2011 Date on text messages but did not receive until 11-22-2011

11-23-2011 Check cashed.

11-25-2011 Hard copies of NOA1s

12-06-2012 Pui's Brother unexpectly passes away and we make an info pass appointment and receive an emergancy AP so she can return home. Pui leaves for Thailand for 2 weeks.

12-06-2012 Get a text message and email that she received an RFE

12-12-2012 RFE for original birth certificate. I swear we sent it along with a certificate translation of it.

12-20-2012 Pui returns from Thailand.

12-21-2012 We send the RFE back for with original birth certificate along with a new certificate of translation(I had to wait for her to return for her to sign)

12-26-2012 text and email they have received the RFE.

12-29-2012 Appointment for biometrics is 01-23-2012

01-13-2012 AP is approved.

01-23-2012 Biometrics appointment. Later during the evening the text and email saying the EAD is approved.

01-31-2012 EAD/AP combo card arrives.

05-22-2012 Email and text card is in production!

I've heard different answers on this. Some have said from sending, others have said from transfer date. Others have said seven months also. I've heard the 180 day mark thrown out to. I think a lot depends on who you talk with on the phone.

As I begin to see more and more December and January filers getting green cards after being transfered to the CSC, I'm beginning to think they left a crate full of AOS applications somewhere. :crying:

We were able to put in a service request today as we're over the 180 days since transfer. Hoping that will kick the system into a little action now.

Congrats on the service request. I just looked and the last Pui's AOS was transfered was Janurary 20, 2012 and 180 days is July 24 so we still got another 2 months to go. Good luck and hopefully you hear something soon.

Glad you could get a service request in but aren't you about 20 days short of 180 days since transfer?

Good luck!

I put down Dec 16th on the transfer date, because the notice that they would transfer was dated on that day. It appears they sent it on Nov 28th, but we never received the official notice of the AOS being received at the CSC. When we called this morning, our case was 7 days over the 180 days. Now we have 15 days to wait for a response. They base the 180 days on arrival at the CSC.

That's interesting, how did you find out it was transferred so much earlier than stated?

We didn't receive any receipt of it arriving at CSC either.

After reading a few posts today I decided to check my status and it said my card was ordered on May 21!! It looks like things are starting to move in California!

March 2010- Met in Calgary, Canada (he was working there)

Dec 31, 2010- Engaged

Jan 5, 2011- Mailed I-129f

Jan 10, 2011- Signature of acceptance at Texas lockbox

Jan 12, 2011- Notice date on NOA1 hardcopy

Jan 14, 2011- Touched

Jan 18, 2011- Received email notification/forward to VSC and check cashed

Jan 20, 2011- He moved to Houston/work transfer :(

Congratulations! I really hope they are... CSC received our file December 21 apparently, so we're officially over 6 months now too. Maybe I'll call tomorrow. I'm not sure what to say - it's been so long since I've had to call USCIS. :wacko:

I'm mostly nervous because if they keep dragging their feet, my medical may get thrown out. It was done June 15 of last year, so they're cutting it very close. :( I really don't want to have to do another one, especially since July is already busy enough with our trip to Canada.
