Judgmental moderators

Someone posted a story about her husband being in the US and them getting married after his VWP visa had expired. He got himself into some trouble with the law, and was currently under arrest for drunk and disorderly conduct.

Several people (myself included) were banned from that thread by one of the moderators because we were being judgmental. Seems like the moderator is being judgmental too.

I think if you read the discussion (I can't access it otherwise I'd provide a link), it's clear the OP would benefit from some honest feedback on the entirety of the situation. If we get to a point where no one can offer critical comments, someone asking questions is quite possibly going to be in a situation where they have no clue whatsoever how it comes across in the real world.

I can see moderating out specific insults or threats (but there weren't any), but a dose of reality administered to a poster who seems to be in desperate need of it is no grounds for moderation.
