Our NOA2 was received on Sept 8 and forwarded to the NVC and has been sitting in Additional Review with them ever since. I have called them several times since then to find out if there are any problems, and why they are still holding our application. I am being told it is a random review and the only thing I can do is to call back in a few days to check the status. Its frustrating to know that it should only take 4-5 days at NVC and ours will be going on a month soon. Has anyone else had these "Random Additional Reviews"? Thanks for any insight.

Yes it is random and nothing to worry about (except the delay). We were "stuck" at the NVC 50 days. Just keep calling once or twice a week to know when your case has actually been sent on. They always said I would be notified when my case was sent on but they never did.

Just keep calling - it will be 50 - 60 days delay at the most.
