Hi guys!

Here I am (again) to ask for help. After 20 days I finally received the I 797C related to my AOS.yay!!! But with it, it also comes another problem. My husband got a job offer and we had to move to another State. We were living in Oklahoma when we filled out the AOS, at his parents house, and now we're living in Denver, CO. We filled out the AR-11 and called the CSC to inform our address changing. However, I got my biometrics appointment scheduled to Oklahoma City. Is it possible to have it re-scheduled to the USICS office in Denver or should I fly back to Oklahoma and have it done there, even though i have already changed my address at the USCIS data base?

thank you so very much for your help!

Try a walk-in at your local office. If that doesn't work you can try rescheduling it to your local office but some people have done the walk-in at an office different to the one on the notice without issue.

Absolutely -- in fact, just this past Monday, the wife of another VJ member did this. She was scheduled for biometrics (for ROC) at the San Antonio office, but on a day when she was having a school test in Austin. She took her appointment letter to the Austin office, explained the situation, and was readily let in. The process was quick and not at all traumatic.

It will be interesting to see whether her ROC file is processed sooner than the normal timeframe suggests, in that the file probably had to be pulled "out of line" anyway in order to enter the biometrics information.

Thank you all!

Just another question: Should I try to walk-in at the date of my appointment or before? I am afraid that if I go at the date and it doesn't work I won't be able to reschedule it and my case might be considered abandoned.

I would try before, for the exact reason you mentioned. I would tell them that you had now moved, take the AR-11, and that instead of changing the appointment which can take a while, you were hoping they would let you in, otherwise you'll have to fly there and that's not cheap.. etc etc.

Good luck! let us know how you go :D

You're right! I'm gonna call the CSC tomorrow and see what they say. Then, I'll try a walk in ASAP. I will keep you guys posted, don't worry  Thanks again!
No need to call them (if you talk only to whoever first answers, you've gotten the Misinformation LIne). Just walk in and do it.

Hi guys!

Just to let you know that everything went fine and I had my biometrics done :D. In fact, you CAN DO IT in any Application Support Center. They schedule your appointment to the closest one, according to your address but if for any reason you can't go to that specific office it's possible to do it in a different one. I had called the Costume Service and asked before the appointment day, and they told me there wasn't any problem. When I got there this morning they didn't even look to the date nor the address I was scheduled. My appointment was at 9am but I got there at 8:30 and left in 10 min. Now I am back to the waiting game :P

Thanks a lot!

Just make an infopass and go in there with your letter. Should be no problem
