need help with I-130 for parents

Hi everyone! I am planning to submit an application for both of my parents... but there is one question that is really bothering me now.. My mom and my dad are not married. My mom was separated from her lawful husband almost 25 years ago but there was no legalities or paperworks done. My father is married to another and still co-habitating with the latter. I am an illegitimate child but my father has been very supportive ever since. Now my question is for the I-130 form for the part of 6. Marital Status of my mother (she has been putting single on her passport/other paperworks but there was no legal separation papers done) and 11. name of prior husband and date marriage ended (?) You need to answer honestly. Your mother has not had her marriage annulled, so she is still married unless her husband is dead. A legal separation does not make a person single. The marriage only ends if her husband is dead or the marriage was annulled.
