Hi all,

I got my packet 4 not long ago, the vaguest letter known to man. It says visit the london us embassy site and loot at form IV19 for Fiance visa. This page tells me that i need to pay the visa application fee like,

"All fiancé visa applicants and their children who will be immigrating with them to the United States, are required to pay a non-refundable visa application fee of $350 per person, regardless of age, at the Embassy on the day of the interview."

but im hearing conflicting advice elsewhere, even on the site itself which says that "K applicants need to pay by pre pay method" As far as i knew the Fiance Visa was a K visa???

Someone please help me, its doing my head in. Do i do it on the day or over the phone. Also the automated voice message on the phone says they dont accept Visa Electron, which is handy cause thats what I have. Can someone please tell me what im supposed to do here???

You will pay before interview, maybe London different. Beneficiary will pay for visa.

Pay in advance. London has gone to this for a number of months now but their instructions and webpages are littered with the old information. Your USC fiance can pay (costs $16 for them to answer calls from the US). Or you Mum can pay if she has a credit card. Just make sure your case number and names are given so the payment is recorded to your file. People have used their bosses , parents, or fiance to pay London before.

OK thanks guys! I called the embassy to pay for the visa fee, turns out they dont take my card and i dont have another one to pay with so i asked them if i could pay with cash on the day. The guy went and spoke to his boss and said i could do this. I double checked that i heard that right and he said it would be fine. Just thought i would update you's on the issue with that and all seems to be ok now. Bring on the interview!!

I just think the embassy site should try to be a bit more updated, i dont find this process difficult im just more frustrated with confusing directions and mixed up information. I think without this site i would have been in a lot more trouble than i have been. Thank you Visa Journey!!!!!

Thanks for that info. I suspected they would still take payment on the day. Other visas are still paying at the embassy. But you have confirmed it and that's good info the help the next person. Currently people are thinking they won't be given an interview or let in the door without paying first and I didn't think that was the case.
