I'm posting as many interview questions as my wife can recall from her recent interview in HCMC. I already posted a review, but I thought these might be helpful for the community. Obviously, these questions are specific to our interview and are not necessarily the same questions that will be asked of you. Her interview was tough but professional, and almost every question was asked to be backed up with documentation.

1. How did you meet your husband?

2. What was his nickname chat on site?

3. When was the last time you met him?

4. How many times has he visited you? Tell me the time ( month and year)

5. Where was your first kiss?

6. Do you have any evidence showing that he was with you in VN for 1 year?

7. Do you have more evidence except the police's certification? (At this point she showed them a stack of documents proving this)

8. What is his highest education?

9. Which school did he study in VN?

10. Which school did he study in the US?

11. Which major of his bachelor degree?

12. Why do you love your husband?

13. What do you talk about on the phone?

14. What is your future plan?

15. How many kids do you want to have?

16. Then I told them we tried to have baby while he was in VN and it couldnt happen. Then she asked me " Do you have any documents from the doctor showing that you tried to have baby in VN?" ( Then I showed them the doctor's documents. She looked at them very carefully)

17. Have you ever travelled outside of VN?

18. Where?

19. Which cities in Europe?

20. Why did you go to Europe?

21. How long?

22. Which major of your masters?

23. Do you have any relatives in the US? ( They asked me twice about this)

She thinks this is fairly complete. As I said, don't assume yours will be the same. These questions came to us because of many variables: The CO and her perspective, our I-130, our previous evidence, our particular situation.

Good luck to all of you,

"Why do you love your husband/wife?" was even asked?

That's the dumbest question I've read so far. I wish I could answer like "why the hell do you think it is?" and give him a disgusting stare. Obviously it's because I really love her or that it's just love! And love is hard to explain (she may be funny, beautiful, makes me laugh all the time, cool, ect.) So many reasons to love some body.

But, if I did that at the interview, I'd get a denial right away. So I'll play nice with these dumb questions.

Thanks the posting.

You as the USC won't be interviewed. So you will be saved from yourself, poor attempts at humor, and the resulting visa denial. (Think of the stare that your wife would give to you in that instance)

Any question that the CO sees fit to ask may be asked. They can be as superficial or as intimate as they feel is needed to determine the validity of the relationship.

There is only one interview. So it would be wise to prepare yourselves for the one opportunity your spouse has to tell the CO the story of your relationship.

Actually, I don't think it's a dumb question at all. A fake relationship would have a hard time answering that one believably. I have to assume that the COs are trained in the psychology of lying and I would think that one trips up a few that had memorized dates, birthdays, names, etc.

At any rate, going into the interview with the attitude you display will not help you. My advice would be to think that there are no stupid questions, only questions that must be answered to be with the one you love.

IMHO

Actually, I am USC, it's my wife who has to endure the interview process, so we're preparing. But in any case, I just hate questions like those, and I can't stand them. But you're right, those questions need to be asked to ensure relationship validity.
