NVC Received File On Aug 1st Not NVC# yet

I start this topic because i want to know which file received on Aug 1st..how many of us waiting for it.

02-23-2011- I-130 Application Mailed to Chicago Lockbox
06-15-2011- NOA2 Status Update(Priority Date)
Your I-130 was approved in 104 days from your NOA1 date.
NVC - 08-01-2011- NVC Received (After 48 Days)
08-19-2011- NVC Case# & IIN Received by email from NVC & E-mails Exchanged (After66 Days)
10-04-2011- Case Completed 10-07-2011- Called NVC and Received Interview Letter by email
NOV-2011- Interview (AP)
06-05-2012- Visited at Embassy Second Time
06-08-2012- Received Message from VFS Collected on 11th asking for New Medical
06-12-2012- Medical Done Send Back on 14th
06-25-2012- Received Message From VFS Collected on 26th asking for New Passport Clearance gone be Expire on 28th.
07-10-2012- Send Back New Passport & Passport Clearance
07-16-2012- Received Message Collected on 17th July He Got His Visa.(less then 8 months)

07-31-2012- POE

08-08-2012- Green Card Received for 2 years

05-12-2014- Apply for I751 at California

05-23-2014- Received letter said tht apply for I90 (incorrect card because of uscis error)

06-10-2014- Send I90

Jul 11, 2011: I-130 approved
Aug 18, 2011: NVC process begins
Oct 6, 2011: NVC process completed
Nov 4, 2011: Interview date assigned
Dec 2, 2011: Interview at Consulate (Result: AP - No reason given on 221g)
Feb 7, 2012: Passport requested by Consulate
(...Husband needed passport for personal reasons during this time...)
Apr 9, 2012: Passport mailed to Consulate
Apr 25, 2012: Visa issued
May 1, 2012: Visa in hand
May 31, 2012: POE at Montreal's Trudeau Airport
Early July: Physical Green Card received in mail. Yes, it's green!

March 13, 2014: ROC filed (went to VSC)

March 17, 2014: NOA

April 22, 2014: Biometrics appointment

December 9, 2014: Case inquiry initiated

December 11, 2014: Response: "The processing of your case has been delayed. A check of our records establishes that your case is not yet ready for decision, as the required security checks remain pending."

March 14, 2014: Received NOA that approval had been given on March 10; expect new GC within 60 days.

Send an email to nvcinquiry@state.gov

Attach a scan of your NOA2

we did this and it seemed to nudge them into doing something with the file, received a reply within 24 hrs with case number

I sent NVC an email regarding the status of my application. They told me that they have recently received my application (didnt mention when) and i will hear from them within 6-8 weeks!!! Why does it take them so much time?

2011-03-01 Marriage

I have been calling NVC all this week almost everyday. They told me that my file was received on August 1st and they are waiting to assign a case number and input information into their system. They told me it takes 2-4 weeks or 10-20 business days.

06/16/2011 - Notice of Action 2 (NOA2)

NOA2 to NVC (32 days to get Case number)
NVC: (28 days)
07/18/2011 - NVC Received and got NVC case#.
07/18/2011 - Send my Naturalization Certificate via mail and email for upgrading my case from F2A to CR1.
07/19/2011 - Gave both emails to NVC and received IIN#
07/21/2011 - Got confirmation email about changing my petition from F2A to CR1. Up-gradation took 4 business days.
07/29/2011 - AOS Fee Bill Received & Paid Online.
07/29/2011 - DS-3032 Email sent to NVC from beneficiary.
08/01/2011 - AOS package invoice shows "PAID" and Package mailed to NVC.
08/02/2011 - DS-3032 received by NVC.
08/03/2011 - IV Fee Bill Received & Paid Online.
08/04/2011 - IV Fee Bill invoice shows "PAID" and DS-230 package mailed to NVC.
08/16/2011 - SIF & Case Completed

When you will get NVC case#, then u need to give ur email id and spouse email id to them... after that they will communicate through email...

I did email NVC today. I've also got a letter to my senator on deck.

I asked one operator how NVC will contact me, and she said if they have my email, it would be by email. So I asked how do I know if you have my email, and she said, "You won't know until we contact you." Hmmm...

Thanks singhisking. So the good old postman it is. So is there any use knowing the NVC case number on phone if we have to wait for papers to arrive.

I'm in the same boat...

They received my case on Aug. 1st (so they say).

Send email to NVCReasrch with NOA2 did not help much. You just get a reply with "We recently received your case."

Operators are now giving the 10-20 business day response.
