NVC Case #'s - How long on average did you wait?

I was just wondering how long it aprox took everyone, lately, to get their NVC case #'s after they received their NOA2.

I received my NOA2 hard copy on July 14th, and kept calling the NVC about getting my MNL case number. They told me the same thing, I must wait 15 business days, and to call after the 15 day. Fortunately, I only waited 4 days more, and my petition was received on August 5th, and shipped out the same day to Manila. So I say with there backlog now at the NVC, wait between 15 and 20 calender days, but don't check on there automated telephone service, talk to a representative. Good Luck and God Bless.

61 days and counting its been over the 8 weeks I am so tired of hearing due to the limited capacity at the Haitian Embassy we regret to inform you blah blah blahhhhhhh!!! But as of yesterday they are still scheduling for September praying soooo hard right now.

For anyone who has been waiting over a month, from my guess you're probably in Administrative Processing. Next time you call the NVC, directly ask them if you are in Administrative Processing. If so, there's not much you can do about it, just wait it out and smile thinking that you will probably not have to wait through much more AP after your interview.

If its not in AP, try contacting your congressman/woman. Some action from them might help a bit!

NVC received our file on Aug 1st still waiting for Nvc#

LOL...my case was approved on July 29...I called NVC today and the operator said they received my file on August 1, and it takes 10-20 business days for them to put it in their system.

From an operator in a thread, the approved petitions from CSC come in waves in large boxes, they are not sent individually as one would think.

This is where I get the feeling that a large box of approved files (say 1000 files) comes into NVC and they scan that box which contains all of the approved petitions in the box. This is the "Your file has been received" quote we are getting. It's only until they open these boxes and start scanning them one by one to generate a NVC case number that we can get our Consulate specific case and IIN numbers.

This is just a theory I have.

Just called NVC and they said they just received my case on Aug 8th. I will call back on the 22nd and hopefully get a case #.

Trevor spoke to an operator this morning and they received ours on 8th as well. They couldn't give him a case # but said call back at the end of the week. I will be calling every day! I think we can book the medical as soon as we get the London case number can't we?

I was approved on JUNE 23and the NVC received my case August 8. I received case # on August 17.Just received an email stating the Choice of Agent form was received and approved!!! Waiting on the IV Bill to continue this Journey!!!
