Need help - unpaid medical bills!!!!!!!

Dear VJers, i have another question! I just found out (by chance, i am so happy!) that i have a unpaid medical bill in the states. i am the benefiicary. i was in the states in 06/07 on a J-1 visa. i had a scholarship by the american congress and the german "bundestag". This included healthinsurance. But apparently there was one bill that didnt get paid. I just called the hospital, they forwarded me to a bill collector. he was really hard to understand for me and i didnt really get the amount that i need to pay, but i think it was something like 900 dollars!! I gave him my creditcard information. That really hurts right now but my question is

1) Since i took care of that now, will that have influence on my k1-visa?

2) We got a notice by email yesterday about RFE. Could that be because of that bill? but i paid it now - will we be fine?

1. Should be no problem. Even if you hadn't taken care of it, the chances are it wouldn't affect your visa, but it would your credit score when you move here.

2. I doubt it.
